my printer usable on my laptop wirelessly and its got me
fooled at the moment....no biggie....have a great day!@!! ;)

Nice day here. I need to work outside.
I've been staying around while DH works on bathroom to assist. I hear him yell my name, rush in anxiously, and he asks me to hand him some tool. 🙄
I got a letter from insurance saying they'll help with a dental crown I need badly. Yay! Will set that up today.

Making Keto Chow right now for ice cream this week. Cooler temps feel so good this morning. I have my window opening and it is so nice. I need relief from this hot summer. Just glad summer is not any longer here where I live. Listening to music while I plan out more blog posts. Not doing much else today unless I can squeeze in a walk between raindrops.

Hello, friends.
I've been missing all of you and wondering what you are each up to, recently; and wanted to drop by to let you know that I am still okay, and so is hubby, despite our difficulties in recent months.

We managed to get to our medical appointments this week, though it was an extremely draining week.

I have also had to work on some difficult financial issues that I haven't yet been able to resolve.

Yesterday I had a crazy-difficult 'conversation' regarding it, with something over the phone, that I kept wondering if it was a person, overtrained to sound like a computer; or if it was a computer overtrained to sound like a human.
Yikes!!!!

I felt feelings that it would be too rude of me, to directly ask if I was speaking with a robot, or with the most advance version of AI that I have ever encountered, or rather, with an actual human. (just in case it was a human)

It was likely computerized, but so advanced that it felt disturbing to me, and very confusing overall. I didn't expect to have to rely on interactions like that, as soon as this.

Have others of you already encountered systems so sophisticated that you couldn't be certain?

I did not enjoy it, and, I never could get my important questions answered, by them, regardless of which it was. 🤔😑🙄😲😱😳

Today I tried to relax myself and take some small mental and emotional breaks from the stressors. I managed a nap, and together, we then repacked some salmon peices for the freezer, in easy-to-cook portions.

The weather here in New England is transitioning toward autumn, with the first parts of bright colors, showing up in the trees, outside my window.
Saw cardinals at the birdfeeder today, too.

I'm saying hello to all of you!
I haven't yet been able to read up here, on your latest adventures.
Kaila
So happy to hear from you! Glad to hear you are okay.

Wow, close call AGAIN, just took trash to bin by front porch, on the way I was thinking "now i need to be careful, do not fall" welp my damn foot stuck to the door sill, and i almost went down, but caught myself, so no damage done.... and came back in to get bathroom trash, stepped out and there was my favorite
barber lady, she stopped by and voluntarily picked up limbs that fell down this weekend.....how nice!!!

Got new debit card and got shot. One in each arm. I'm good to go.

My lawn is getting crunchy, but we're supposed to get rain of biblical proportions by Wednesday from Hurricane Helene and last for days. Should I believe it or should I water?

ETA: watering as we speak

Planted 2 peach tree's, 1 cherry tree, 1 apple tree, 3 Rosella bushes, 2 azalea plants and 1 grape plant. Then, plumbed some water to the front yard so it runs directly off the well instead of going through the house system. Because, using the house faucets, dirty up the house filters rapidly and no need for filtered water on the garden.
Also fixed the directional signal on our car that has been acting up lately.

I'm complaining again. Those hostile idiots really have me being angry. Actually, I've been "off" since 11am, which is when I got off the phone with a friend. Woke up fine, slept well, had plans to do chores; a friendly person calls me. That totally threw me off. I must be nuts. I can't stand spontaneity anymore, even if it's good. I'm a grouch.

I have been able to shift my sleeping habits the last few days. Trying to take advantage of that so I made myself go out. Went to Aldi, need to do a restock of things I always buy there. I know have enough trash bags, freezer bags, both quart and gallon, aluminum foil, both regular and heavy duty.
This should get me through until spring.

With the holidays coming there will be things to freeze, things to give to friends. I have found Aldi my best cost for these purchases.

I also grabbed a few cans of fruit for pies, evaporated milk and pumpkin. Then on to the next store which had campbell's soups on sale for .97 a can. I was mainly after homestyle chicken noodle for the pantry, this is the go to for sick stomach or colds. Also got the cream of mushroom and chicken that I use in some recipes. Should be enough for the winter.

It was so nice to get out for a little while and the advantage of getting things at a good price makes it better. I was going to pick up steaks for my son but they did not look good. I will watch for the next sale and see what they have.

@hollydolly sorry the flat was not good. I think it might take sometime to find just the right thing. My question is would you be able to keep your current home through the divorce, it was yours prior, he should have no hold over it. That would ensure you could take your time finding a perfect place you love.

To me, the big thing is you have lived there a long time. You know the home has been well taken care of thru the years. That is what worries me If I have to change, I know my home, what has been done and when that I might need to do maintenance. It gives me a sense of peace.

You read all these horror stories of people buying a home and then finding much later there are big problems with the foundation, plumbing and electrical. Here we always have a home inspection done but things can be missed or not disclosed it could be a problem in a few years.

yes the house is mine so I don't have any worries about losing it in the divorce, he never put his name on the deeds.. never asked to actually.. thank God.. but the house in Spain is a different matter that has to go sadly..

You're so so right when it comes to all the work that's been put into my house over the years.

Funnily enough I was thinking that when I was looking at the flat, I was thinking just how basic it was.. and the nerve of the owner wanting to take the door handles... and I thought of just how much more luxurious my house is, how all the work that has been put into it to make it look good and be comfortable to live in.. like as you say, the plumbing, the decor , the electrics.. etc.. .. and it really made me think , that I can't settle for just anything, because I won't personally be able to make a basic home into the luxury that is my home.. so whatever I choose I'll have to at least have something that's close to this..
