Have CT Scan today. It is a bit warmer, so I want to walk there both ways, in fact, looking forward to it. So, I'll at least get in an hour's walk today. Yesterday, when they called to confirm, they re-gave me original appt. time which means I will miss the end of Young & Restless! Oh well, there is always tomorrow...........

I really lucked out this morning. Maggiecat let me sleep until 6:30. Six thirty! Imagine.

@Pepper What do you call "a bit warmer"? LOL Sorry you have to miss the end of Y&R, but nothing much happens on a soap on a Thursday anyway.

Dunno what I'm gonna do today. Excuse me while I have a second cup of coffee and think about it. Wait. Yes, I do. DD and I are doing our Walmarting this afternoon when she gets home from her work-away-from-home job.

Me too .. the forum was down for a couple of hours (or more) @hawkdon

We missed the snow they predicted last night, and there is very little snow on my car- in a few hours my Women's club meets.

Our club VP called me yesterday to see if I would be there and mentioned the desserts we are having. We bring our own lunch but those desserts are always worth driving through the occasional tundra!:D

I am going to stop at the local Dollar Store first to see if they have hand warmers, as someone suggested via google that they work well when you have frost on the inside of your windshield.

I never had that problem with my older jeep and I think the frost is coming from humidity from the two snow brooms I use to clean my car, which I throw into the back seat , and rest the wet part on top of a Coleman. I have had this same Coleman insulated picnic container for decades-it sure keeps cold food cold in the summer, and keeps Chinese food Hot.

Maybe 1/2 inch of new snow. Heat wave here, 15F and might reach 25F today!

I had to jump-start "Bessie" after sitting several days below and around 0F, got to the pharmacy for 2 big prescriptions and found that the machine didn't want to take my card. Turns out there was no charge, insurance picked up 100% this time around. Probably a sign I should have bought a lottery ticket. :ROFLMAO:

Not long back from Costco. it's an absolutely glorious sunny but really cold day. I had to scrape all the ice off my car before I could get going, and when the ice had all melted the car was filthy.. so when I came out of Costco, I drove to the car wash.. and everyone had the same idea because there was a long queue.
Normally I'm too impatient to wait in queues but the car was so dirty I could barely see out of the windows.. *ugh*... of course if there's thick ice again tonight, I'll have the same prob tomorrow.. :D

Costo was quite quiet, which was good... and when I came out from there, I drove down to M&S.. and stocked up on fruit and cheese scones. I like to buy them in bulk, and freeze them, that way they last a month or more.. and I pay less for them

Got my usual Pack of Chicken legs there's 24 in a pack and they cost just over £4.00 so they do 12 meals... such a bargain... and I got 4 kilos of Bacon ribs... .. and 36 dinner rolls again which get frozen.... as well as some hardware goods..

Usually when I get home from Costco, I get on with freezing immediately .. but I felt like having a cuppa tea and a sit down for a little while before I start..so here I am.. :coffee::giggle:

yes..it will Gigi..:D. but I will still not be able to see out of the windows...possibly...I flippin' hope not.. simply because there's no car wash near where I live the nearest is 15 miles away

Geez, M&S has everything else; why not a car wash while they're at it? Don't forget that when I come to visit, we're going to spend at least a half day at M&S. Does the one nearest you have a cafe? Preferably one with a dessert trolley...

Eight inches of snow in the last 24 hours. Today snow scooping and running the snowblower are a must. Late afternoon, driving to a meeting with my river restoration compadres.

Plans other than that? I dunno. I woke up this morning wishing I could have a quarter of a chocolate cake on hand, to just sit and eat a slice every so often over the next day or two. Can't see that it's in the cards.

Today I am going out for lunch, chiropractor appointment, my kids are coming over and then a friend is coming over to play games and spend the night. Then tomorrow another friend is coming for lunch and games. We are 50 so will get a daily walk in. Yesterday the wind was blowing at 21mph so the little dogs weren’t happy 😃.

Also yesterday 2 of my friends that live in the building came over to admire my vanity and brought cake. That’s one thing I love about my condo versus a house is all the spontaneous get togethers.

67° here today and rain coming this weekend (yay!) so I'll run a few errands today.

Some may remember me talking about my very sore ribs. The injury was 3 weeks ago today and it was finally starting to be less painful. On Monday afternoon my grandson gave me a hug - not a rough one, just a hug. Unfortunately, his 11-year-old height meant the squeeze hit right at the point of my injured ribs. AAAACCCKKK! I'm right back to the same level of pain I felt on the 29th. So now I fear it might be something more than a deep bruise.

I emailed my doctor to ask for X-rays, but he called this morning wanting me to come in. I just want some X-rays to know what's happening. If there's a break and it needs investigation or treatment, I'll obviously go in to see him. If it's just a bruise then it means just toughing it out, no face-to-face appointment needed.

Since @AnnieA recommended the purchase of an oximeter back in early Covid days, I'd been monitoring those levels since the injury and could report to the doc that my blood oxygen has remained in the 97-100 range. That probably tipped the scales in favor of approving the X-rays, waiting to hear the results and then deciding on any course of action.

After breakfast I'll run over to get the Xray and hit the dollar store on the way home for a few items I'm low on.
