I joined Weight Watchers a couple days ago when they had a half-price sale for a year commitment ($11 a month instead of $23). So far I've used up not only all my daily points but also all my weekly points and all but one point from activity. Today I'll have to try a lot harder. I wish I had waited until after the holiday weekend, tho then we enter picnic season. There never seems to be an end to special food occasions, sighhhh.

Having made a comprehensive list on my phone of things needed at Walmart, I promptly left my phone at home 🙄. So rather than drive back home, I played Walmart-Roulette and tried to remember what was on the list. I’m proud to say I got everything except for hand soap and replacement emergency candles. :: patting myself on the back::
I've done that.. a few times in fact I did it just a few days ago......:D

Today my friend Jen and I went to a town 40 mile round trip from here which had a street food fest on. It was mobbed... you'd think people hadn't seen food before , there was 1/2 hour queues for hot dogs.. or Churros.. or Jamaican food etc... ridiculous..:oops:

We didn't go for the food.. we went to collect some furniture for her from the Charity shop...

The rain-all-day stuff? Pfffft. The sun is and has been out for hours. Not wanting to waste a perfectly good afternoon, I hustled my bony self out to the garden and planted the flowers and plants that I got the other day. Lemme tell ya: it's hot 🥵out there!

@hollydolly Is that your patio or just a picture of a pretty one? And all those people at the food fair. None of them look like they're starving.

@Pappy Yeah? So where are you in the picture?

that's a corner of the garden centre Cafeteria...which is where we had our tea..

here's another part of it..

I saw these pots today.. I was sorely tempted by them I just love the floral... but they were only about 8 or 9 inches high... nowhere nearly big enough for any of my houseplants...

Brookgreen looks lovely. I hope you enjoyed

Brookgreen looks lovely. I hope you enjoyed it.
It was very nice. DD and grands came for half the week. We all went to Huntington Beach on Thursday and had a picnic.
I haven't stayed out on the beach in years. It was fun but we prefer a morning walk. I did get a tan! My legs haven't seen the beach sun in a long time.

Hubby was up early & busy in the wood pile.

I was glad to see him back in after 9 a.m.
He told me he got the logs. were cut into manageable lengths.

I suggested we head to our favorite flea market in Andover OH.

As we headed that way, we noticed black clouds forming to our right.
By the time we got to the flea market , traffic was streaming out of it.

We paid the entrance fee & headed to the vendor we wanted to see.

His stall is in a metal covered area,,, made just as the rain started.
We purchase the sun glasses hubby wanted.
By then other folks were moving in out of the rain. The wind blew & rain came down harder.
Felt like we were stuck there for an hour.

Before we left hubby bought another item.
Most of the vendors had left & the grounds had large puddles.
we left there.

Told hubby I would like to try a new restaurant ,
Gave him the directions,, was another. drive to it.
And the parking area was full!
Managed to find a space,, went in , ate there.

Was billed as having Amish food.
Hubby thought it was over priced.
I had hoped for something simple on the menu .
Settled for broccoli cheese soup & fresh rolls.

We drove in & out of rain till we got home.
Appears our area didn't get the rain we experienced in Ohio.
