Will wonders never cease! I'd left a note for Sir yesterday listing all the products I needed and how long we'd been out of them. I really didn't think he'd bother unloading the pallet, but he did at least get all the things I needed for this morning.

Since I get paid the same whether I work fast or slow, I worked slow. Unless something disastrous happens, my last day is going to be July 6. I'm gonna keep my lip zipped:censored: for a couple more weeks though, because I don't want anybody to have an excuse to cut my hours. I just want those five more paychecks to beef up my EF💰

Yanno, when I worked in Germany, the chairman gave each new C-suite employee a Mickey Mouse watch on their first day with the message that if we checked the time and weren't having fun, it was time to look for a new job. (That was 40 years ago when people still wore watches.) Well. I'm not having fun anymore, but I'm not going to look for a new job; I'm just gonna say buh-byeeee. It's definitely time because I'm getting crankier and more out of sorts by the day. I want to leave on good terms.

Okay, then. Time to water the flowers and spray fungicide on the roses and hydrangeas. Also gonna treat some of the plants with Critter Ridder. The bunnies🐇 have been dining on the blooms on some of them.

Oh! Meant to tell y'all that Ms. Doe was back again yesterday. Yup. I just know she's got a baby snuggled up under the brush in the side yard.

We don't normally have wildlife besides squirrels but in the last few days we've had a doe, a rabbit, and a fox!
I suppose the fox may be looking for the rabbit.
Or, they are moving. There is construction a mile and a half or so away.
They got DHs cucumbers. 😣

Lesson learned: Don't go to Wal-Mart after church. Even the smaller one near us. Packed with people who apparently learned nothing at church this morning. I had to get something otherwise I would have left as soon as I walked in.
 

My son is peeved at me

Many many years, at his request, I’ve made him homemade spaghetti sauce for his birthday. Last year I told him “I will show you how to make it, then it’s ur responsibility from now on”. He agreed then

But now his birthday is around the corner and he’s asking again.

“No”. (Some guilt, some puppy-dog eyes, some wheedling to try to get me to change my mind)

I am famous for caving to this stuff. I stuck to my guns.

yep that's the trouble... whereas we rarely get that problem.. and are still mowing every week throughout spring and summer. Last year for the first time ever I was mowing in November
 
OMG! What's happened to summer :( It rained during the night, still raining this morning and the trees are blowing all over the place outside. According to the weather forecast, it's going to rain on and off all day.

The upside is that it is nice and cool so we will be able to get some jobs done at home without being tempted to down tools and sit outside in the sun. 🛠️ :)

yes I agree... I like it cool to get the work done given that we don't have AC in our homes generally speaking... but apart from a few days of 75 deg temps.. we've now got to the middle of June, and it's like Autumn. It's windy , overcast and the high is 58 today... what is going on ? :eek: I wish I'd been forewarned of this and I would have made plans to fly off to warmer climes for a week. I hope it all improves for next month for my staycation at the coast , the first time I will have taken a break in the UK in 30 years..
 
Monday morning has started with a stiff email to his lawyers... and correspondence with my own lawyer. That's exactly how I like to start a Monday... ( sarc)..:rolleyes:


I just saw something where I almost doubted my own eyes. The neighbours had left a washing machine out last night to be collected by the disposers this morning. A bloke on his own, just an average build.. got out of the high sided vehicle which was already full up with various metals..

.. and not only lifted the washing machine by himself, and over his head, but literally threw it up in the Air , and over the side and into the truck. If ever I wanted a rewind button in real life.. it was right at that moment.. I couldn't believe my eyes...
This was the type of truck

Men have upper arm strength most females can't even dream of. I saw my father, 5'9" and under 130 lbs lift a sofa by himself, over his head, & carried it up a flight of stairs. I also almost doubted my own eyes. It was a full sofa, not a love seat. Regular size.

this was about the same as this guy today..a bout 5.10 about 12 stone ( 168 pounds) ..probably in his early 30's
