Save the date! July 6 2024! We'll have virtual cake....and ice cream. It's a lovely day in the neighborhood, but the weathernerds didn't lie about the humidity going back up. Darn. How come they couldn't be wrong again? Our high temp today is going be pushing 90. Combined with the humidity, it's gonna be unpleasant at best. Glad I got the A/C cleaned up and ready to operate. So far I've just had it on fan only.
Will wonders never cease! I'd left a note for Sir yesterday listing all the products I needed and how long we'd been out of them. I really didn't think he'd bother unloading the pallet, but he did at least get all the things I needed for this morning.
Since I get paid the same whether I work fast or slow, I worked slow. Unless something disastrous happens, my last day is going to be July 6. I'm gonna keep my lip zippedfor a couple more weeks though, because I don't want anybody to have an excuse to cut my hours. I just want those five more paychecks to beef up my EF
Yanno, when I worked in Germany, the chairman gave each new C-suite employee a Mickey Mouse watch on their first day with the message that if we checked the time and weren't having fun, it was time to look for a new job. (That was 40 years ago when people still wore watches.) Well. I'm not having fun anymore, but I'm not going to look for a new job; I'm just gonna say buh-byeeee. It's definitely time because I'm getting crankier and more out of sorts by the day. I want to leave on good terms.
Okay, then. Time to water the flowers and spray fungicide on the roses and hydrangeas. Also gonna treat some of the plants with Critter Ridder. The bunnieshave been dining on the blooms on some of them.
Oh! Meant to tell y'all that Ms. Doe was back again yesterday. Yup. I just know she's got a baby snuggled up under the brush in the side yard.
Well once you pave the rest of the place over it'll be that much cooler, hmm?Cut the grass (uhh weeds) early this morning. Way to hot to do much outside for any length of time.
Plants are taking a beating. Luckily there is some shade for the out back ones.
well keep talking ..lol.... seriously I know how you feel, I get like that too.. desperately tired early in the evening and I know if i go to sleep I'll be awake at 1am...It's not a school night for me, and I'm having a hard time staying awake. It's not quite dark yet. I wanna go to bed but don't wanna wake up at 2:30.
awwww....it's your Boys' birthday... he loves his mums cookin'..lol.... you're such a hard mum...My son is peeved at me
Many many years, at his request, I’ve made him homemade spaghetti sauce for his birthday. Last year I told him “I will show you how to make it, then it’s ur responsibility from now on”. He agreed then
But now his birthday is around the corner and he’s asking again.
“No”. (Some guilt, some puppy-dog eyes, some wheedling to try to get me to change my mind)
I am famous for caving to this stuff. I stuck to my guns.
I Am Proud of Myself!
for sure... we'll have a parteeeee.....Save the date! July 6 2024! We'll have virtual cake....and ice cream.![]()
Adult beverages? Can we have adult beverages, too? How about a half gallon of Jack Daniels Black Label and a box of straws?Save the date! July 6 2024! We'll have virtual cake....and ice cream.![]()

About 2+ years. Sometimes though I'll try different brands and I won't get a year out of it.How long does your cherry bark stay red ?
Same here.. lucky if I get a year , but then that's probably cuz we get more rain..About 2+ years. Sometimes though I'll try different brands and I won't get a year out of it.
yep that's the trouble... whereas we rarely get that problem.. and are still mowing every week throughout spring and summer. Last year for the first time ever I was mowing in NovemberThis heat and humidity has taken a toll on the front grass for sure.
Of course, come rainy season, I'll be bitching about having to cut it a whole lot more.

Sure cuz you won't have to work in the morning!Adult beverages? Can we have adult beverages, too? How about a half gallon of Jack Daniels Black Label and a box of straws?
yes I agree... I like it cool to get the work done given that we don't have AC in our homes generally speaking... but apart from a few days of 75 deg temps.. we've now got to the middle of June, and it's like Autumn. It's windy , overcast and the high is 58 today... what is going on ?OMG! What's happened to summerIt rained during the night, still raining this morning and the trees are blowing all over the place outside. According to the weather forecast, it's going to rain on and off all day.
The upside is that it is nice and cool so we will be able to get some jobs done at home without being tempted to down tools and sit outside in the sun.![]()

Men have upper arm strength most females can't even dream of. I saw my father, 5'9" and under 130 lbs lift a sofa by himself, over his head, & carried it up a flight of stairs. I also almost doubted my own eyes. It was a full sofa, not a love seat. Regular size.I just saw something where I almost doubted my own eyes. The neighbours had left a washing machine out last night to be collected by the disposers this morning. A bloke on his own, just an average build.. go out of the high sided vehicle which was already full up with various metals..
.. and not only lifted the washing machine by himself, and over his head, but literally threw it up in the Air , and over the side and into the truck. If ever I wanted a rewind button in real life.. it was right at that moment.. I couldn't believe my eyes...
This was the type of truck
this was about the same as this guy today..a bout 5.10 about 12 stone ( 168 pounds) ..probably in his early 30'sMen have upper arm strength most females can't even dream of.
