I think that's about an average price for one here...The one we are looking at is about $600. Nothing fancy. My wife likes the glass top one like we have now.

Drama Queen.....@hollydolly *I* can't wait to see your DD's newly remodeled house!
It's so cold in here that I don't even want to get dressed. Back in the olden days, when I was much younger, our house didn't have central heat. We had an oil-burning stove downstairs and registers in the ceiling so the heat could rise. If the stove had been off during the night, we'd just take our clothes downstairs and back up to the stove after it was lit to stay warm while getting dressed.
I have neither central heat nor an oil stove, just a space heater. Backing up to a 20" tall space heater isn't quite the same as backing up to a 4ft tall oil-burning oil stove. I mean, with the space heater, only the back of my legs from the knees down gets warm.
So whatever will I do when winter gets here?
Probably whatever you did last year...So whatever will I do when winter gets here?

He's still wearing some funky goggles - he's hoping/expecting to get rid of those after his checkup today.abbut last year I wasn't as old as I am this year.
How's your DH doing today after his cataract surgery?
I think that when people say 55... or 59..I'm already thinnking how young that is even now in my late 60's....He's still wearing some funky goggles - he's hoping/expecting to get rid of those after his checkup today.
As for not being as old as we were last year, at book club last Wednesday one woman was bemoaning turning 65 soon. I smiled and said nothing but thought, "65? 65??? Cry me a river, sweetheart."
yes..very ok....This cleaningisn't any fun. Is it okay if I do something else instead?
The main use of squash is baby food. Because babies can only fight back just so hard.@RadishRose, I’ve never heard of Honeynut squash. Are they like butternut squash?
I guess a little, in that they are tan in color. They are much smaller and quite sweet.@RadishRose, I’ve never heard of Honeynut squash. Are they like butternut squash?
