@GoodEnuff
The brandied cranberries are in the oven. With just a wee bit more than the 4-5 tablespoons of brandy. A wee bit more. Just a tad. Merely an eyeful. For extra flavor![]()
correct...@hollydolly I'm guessing that monkey bread isn't a thing in the UK. Amiright?
New stove, too?Today was head into the kitchen and dismantle and remove the second broken over head microwave (stole it out of the motorhome to replace the first one) and replace it with a stainless hood/vent along with a stainless back splash. Dug out the old trusty counter top microwave (20 years and still works fine) and set it on top of a mini freezer.
Came out ok I think.

I need sunshine and blue skies, no humidity, outdoor time, as much as humanly possible for my mental and physical health.5pm and the time of day when I start getting agitated and wish the clock would tick faster so I can go to bed. For some reason it's a really lonely time of day for me. I only get like this in winter. Summertime I can sit outside and fiddle around in the garden.

Tea, cocoa, bourbon and a cook book? Make that a seed catalog.5pm and the time of day when I start getting agitated and wish the clock would tick faster so I can go to bed. You use windex glass cleaner on stainless backsplash? Don't things stick to it, like spaghetti sauce, etc?I had a stain less backsplash and SO wrapped it around the cabinet sides as well plus more. Hello Windex and ease on the house c!eaner. I miss it!
Definitely a seed catalog!Tea, cocoa, bourbon and a cook book? Make that a seed catalog.
Baby oil, used very sparingly is the best on stainless steel....You use windex glass cleaner on stainless backsplash? Don't things stick to it, like spaghetti sauce, etc?
I've always used a coat of Pledge wood oil or lemon on cooking backsplash because then I can wipe spatters off easily, nothing ever sticks to the oil on the surface and it shines nicely.
GADS!!8F this morning, now 17F. Brrrr.
Kept the original stove... just in case...New stove, too?
If my micro hood ever goes (at least 20 yrs old) I would replace it with a fan. This micro hood has an exhaust fan but it is technically too close to the stove top. That's what happens when installed in an older home. It has been fine and saves space so as long as it lasts I will work with it. Plus, I'd miss the room. The original microwave space is now a coffee corner.Today was head into the kitchen and dismantle and remove the second broken over head microwave (stole it out of the motorhome to replace the first one) and replace it with a stainless hood/vent along with a stainless back splash. I can't tell you how many times, at five o'clock I'm wondering if it's too early for bed. I still get up so early even though I don't have to. I try to find something to do to keep me up until at the very earliest, eight.5pm and the time of day when I start getting agitated and wish the clock would tick faster so I can go to bed.
