How Much TV Do You Watch?

I watch very little TV. If I do decide to watch a show I will watch it on Netflix or Hulu as I have a subscription to those. I mostly purchase and watch movies through Amazon prime and watch those the most.

For me --Red Sox games, NFL, and an occasional Bruins game. Together we enjoy old movies, TCM, Netflix, etc. My wife has the set on most of the day. Watches and listens to news, Dateline, and PBS. She puts on headphones while she moves about the house and listens as she works.

I watch the news on most evenings. I set the DVR for recording what I'm interested in, when I run across something interesting on the cable channel guide - animal or science documentaries mostly, sometimes an old movie. Otherwise, all I watch is pro football and pro basketball.

Spouse loves TV and YouTube and probably spends most of the day glancing at his multi-screen setup of TV plus 2 computer screens. He likes to have "noise" on while he does other stuff.

I can't do that. Whatever is on, I'm watching and paying attention. Taping shows enables me to zap the annoying plethora of ads.

I have to TV on a lot during the day. But how much I actually watch is different. I often have it on just to listen to stuff while I am cleaning or on the computer.

Turner Classic Movies ran documentaries of the holocaust Sunday and Monday nights.
There was a documentary last nigh that similar to ‘Sophie’s Choice’ except worse as this was true.

I think the lessons to learn is that we can all be ‘beast,’
after we’ve perform a behavior a few times.

We know the difference between right and wrong; the holocaust was too massive a wrong to comprehend

One event that should always stand paramount in American’s minds is the helicopter pilot that attempted to stop the slaughter at My Lai: Hugh Thompson, a hero that actually is and will always be…

He will never be recognized nor receive the acclaim due a man of his values and integrity.

We cut the cable a few months ago. We now have Netflix and Sling TV via Roku. I can only handle one or two hours of television a day. Recently, I started reruns of NCIS on Netflix beginning with the first episode - with 15 seasons, that one should last me for a while. She watches a few of the Hallmark movies on Sling.
My wife loves the Hallmark channel, but I can't stomach it.

We record most of what we watch and then watch it at our convenience.

We have a TV, internet, land line bundle, it gripes me that it costs twice as much as our electric bill. We have central heat/AC, all electric appliances, etc.

Music shows - contests or otherwise
Good documentaries
Great movies.
The odd talk show

The other night I watched a documentary about a group from Toronto, Ontario ,.....RUSH!
It documented their touring journey of 40 years - from 1978-2018. Their drummer recently died and it made me wish I’d seen them one more time.
I’d seen them 3 times when I was younger. It brought back such great memories.

Hardlywatch telly these days and the flat black screen is black nearly all day and evening. Why? Because it's so boring on our main channels. HoweverIm selective and tune into travel and nature progs and Planet Earth andsuch like.

The main News is dire on all main channels BBC1 ITV1C4nd C5. All bad news UKand world wide. I may be the most ill informed bury my head in the sand person but I feel less stressed

I have a few favorite shows but I am not a big tv person. Hubby on the other hand is a TV fanatic. He has different work hours. In the morning I have my quiet reading/meditation time.. NO TV.

I watch a news programme when eating my breakfast in the morning and another at lunchtime. I eat my meals very quickly so that doesn't take long. I watch a programme for about an hour in the evening. I should think I watch no more than 2hrs of TV a day and usually less than that.

I am a cord cutter and stream my programming so I have access to many shows from their first seasons on through. I have so much on my T.V. plate right now that it's insane. I may watch an hour and a half to two and a half hours a day, depending on what else I have to do. Being I'm streaming, most of it is commercial free so an hour show is only 42 minutes.

Have to have racket, park in front of TV, it remains on while I PC, read, ignoring TV..

Newscast in America are Pitiful, BBC, French even Al-Jazeera are far better.

American National News tells us what clebs, sports figures are doings-these have
no business on national news. The promotion of that newworks on their coming attractions is a free commercial
Comment-phooey!

Way too much in the last decade. Shoot, i'm watching "World News Tonight" . They've been informing insomniacs for twenty-five years.

I rarely watch daytime TV, maybe a couple of hours in the evening depending what’s on

A few people I’ve met make comments like, “I never watch television”,, like it’s a virtue, well I do, and I enjoy it !

mine goes on around 4 if iam in --I am a sucker for tv films ' ad evening time I never miss a drama '

That's my routine with a TV schedule too. I have a hard time getting interested in anything that's on.
My radio music is my background 'noise' most of the day.

I listen to music more than watching television. I was used to not watching one as before I moved here in 2018, I hadn't had one for over 20 years. My bf bought me one as a gift so I have it set up to watch it at night in bed, but usually get sleepy and don't make it through a whole show. I only watch Prime Videos or YouTube anyway. I watch a lot of documentaries and cooking shows. I did get into watching The Sopranos. I don't really care for having anything on for the noise aspect. Sometimes I have music or the television on for my rabbit as he really likes it.

Streaming channels such as Netflix and Prime only. I don't watch "regular" TV any more. Can't stand the commercials, and the programming choices don't interest me.

I watch some occasionally on Pluto. Or other free webTV sites. Not a lot though.
