If you were immortal?

Immortal for a day? I don't understand. I think that I know what you mean, but there may be a better way of asking this question. Are you suggesting that; "If I had prior knowledge that I would not die today, or any other one single day what would I do?" Like, maybe jump off of the Empire State Building. Is this the question?
 
Or does it mean: "If you absolutely knew that you would definitely not die today, no matter what, what would you do?"
 
I don't know.

I am fully aware, and have been for a very long time, that each day could be my last.
At the same time, when I wake up in the morning I don't actually expect that it will be.
In a sense I feel immortal each day and I live as I do in accordance with that feeling.

So I guess I wouldn't do anything different to what I do every day.
I would replenish the larder, make sure we have clean clothes for tomorrow, take a bath etc etc.
Why, because I would anticipate that there is going to be a new day to follow this one.

On the other hand, if I knew that today would be my last, I wouldn't bother wasting any time on housework.
I would take time to look at the flowers and listen to the birds. That would be very nice.
 
Ok you guys, your right, you can't be immortal for a day. That is an oxymoron. I meant if you knew you couldn't die for a day, and nothing could harm you, what would you do? I would do all the things I'm afraid of like bungy diving, going on a cruise, para (sp)gliding, or doing away with ISIS. (I don't know how, but I try.) :wave:
