Is 50 Really Old?

When I was 30...35 seemed old.......now my daughter is in her early 40's, and I think she's very young!! I never thought I would ever get to 64 but here I am, and thinking ..heyyy this ain't old.. /

That said I have photos of my granny in her 50's taken with me when i was a toddler, and she looked about 80.... !! :p

When I was 10, 50 seemed really old. Then when I hit 50, I had a different perspective, not that old at all. Slowing down a bit now at 66 but nothing that wasn't expected. Feeling old has a lot to do with your state of mind and attitude, also physical issues can make people feel older. I'll happily take old over the alternative, but my idea of aging has changed a lot over the years.

I would never have dreamed of being on a senior forum at age 50.
I'm only here after I entered "friendly forum" on Google and it came up with this senior forum. And that was when I was already 70. So, I perused the forum and I decided I liked it and finally registered. Now I'm glad I did.

Hmmm, I would have to say that every year, I'm starting to feel it more and more. When I turned 50, I used to think it was no big deal. But now that I'm almost 60, I feel it more. However, I try to be active since I'm still sitting behind a desk every day. And I am still pretty spry compared to some of my friends my age. What is harder for me to do is get in and out of cars.
