Jews pre-date Islam in the Middle East, thus it is not surprising that they attempted to return there after the attempt to eradicate them in Europe. I am not Jewish, but when I look at the work of Jewish scholars and the large number of Nobel prizes awarded to Jews I admire their contribution to humanity.

Thanks to a member I was able to read an interesting account of the Oslo Accords. I give up, this mess that has grown out of the creation of Israel will almost certainly never be solved in the lifetime of any of the members of this forum. Arguing about it is pointless. The solution has to come from the Middle East. Hard to understand how both sides can, or will, ever reach a mutual agreement.

Agreed. That is why, way back on page 9, I suggested moving Israel to a safe place in North America.

Until North Americans understand the theology of Islam and how it is connected to all the other Islamic Jihad attacks around the world, no place in North America is any more safe than the Twin Towers in New York City were on 9/11/2001.
The Islamic jihad leaders don’t fight in Gaza. They live billionaire lifestyles in Qatar and Turkey and meet with other Islamist Jihad leaders from around the world who are associated with the international Muslim Brotherhood. They all have the same goal, and it would behoove Americans to educate themselves about what that goal is.

They’ve been sending their members to American universities to be educated for years. One Palestinian Hamas senior member, Mousa Mohammad Marzook, graduated from Colorado State University and earned his Doctorate in Industrial Engineering at Louisiana Tech University. They have powerful allies like President Erdogan of Turkey who built a multi-million dollar Mosque in Lanham, Maryland complete with guest quarters and Turkish baths.

Their plan of infiltration, agitation and domination of America is working well, along with their public relations plan to pacify gullible Americans with Interfaith socials and charitable events. It’s good that America provides arms and aid to Israel, but aside from that, the average American is clueless about the psychological war going on their own soil.

Well, certainly it is up to the Israelis to decide, but it would probably be easier than finding a peaceful solution that will allow them to stay where they are.

All Muslims should be deported from the US, Canada, and all of Europe back to the ME. All the Mosques should be destroyed. And I disagree that the "average American" (and I am one) is clueless about what's going on.

Can’t speak for Europe and Canada, but deportation of US citizens based on religion has a little problem, the Constitution. What we can do is control our borders and strongly resist application of Sharia Law within our borders. As for Europe, due to their proximity to the Middle East and North Africa, their problem far outweighs ours. Israel‘s plight? I doubt it will ever be resolved.

I hope you’re right about the average American. But what I’ve seen from the national media, the government and many individuals is a huge amount of energy spent on trying to disassociate Islamic jihad attacks from Islam and pretending only a tiny fraction are involved.

Meanwhile, the leader of Hamas is worth $4 billion dollars and lives in Qatar and Turkey, and meets with other Islamic jihad leaders around the world associated with the international Muslim Brotherhood, and has powerful allies like the President of Turkey whose Diyanet mosque department controls 24 mosques in America and writes their sermons, and Hamas sends their Palestinian members to American Universities to be educated, and American Muslims sent $12 million to Hamas, and American Muslims are organized into a powerful political lobby and have a public relations group called CAIR that encourages pacifying Americans with Interfaith socials, charity work, and mosque open houses with tea and cookies.

I don’t have the answer, but it sure is interesting to watch.

I fear it's going to take something extremely huge [again 😟 ] to restore all the whitewashed/forgotten memories of the past 22 years. "Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it."

It’s really a hard situation. Hamas had to know that Israel would respond when attacked. I have been reading about all the Palestinian teenagers in prison without ever having a trial.

Who’s going to rebuild Gaza after the war and is Israel going to keep bombing and killing the civilians? You would have to kill everyone to make sure you get all of Hamas that lives there. If you leave the kids alive they surely will hate Israel for what’s happening.

It’s one giant mess with no easy answers. I feel deeply sorry for the innocent civilians in both countries. I can’t imagine having to have a safe room in your house. I would never live there if I had any other choice. I wonder if dual citizens will leave Israel permanently.

I don‘t believe anyone has the answer, probably because there is no answer. Islam is what it is and always has been, and it is not going to change. There is another issue that never gets mentioned. Israel has a large stockpile of nuclear weapons and Iran, a strong supporter of Hamas, clearly wants the same. Yikes!

They need to reign in their extremists and militants. They need to publicly disclaim them and admonish them and even punish them. Some Islamic leaders do, of course, but you've got huge Islamic sects, and they argue with each other and out-yell each other.

Jews have different sects, too, but their disagreements seem a lot quieter and more focused...focused on each other and not so much the outside world.

But anyway, a coming-together of Islam to ALL live peacefully beside their neighbors seems impossible right now.
