It seems like this forum is getting a bit stale.

PHILLY!!! SO good to hear from you again!! I've thought of you often and wish you'd come back and post more. I always so enjoyed your posts and your sense of humor. I hope all is well with you?

Thank you, love. "Well" might be a strong word to use - "surviving" is probably more apropos. ;) Hope you're doing all right.

I'm no longer an active member, just an actor portraying one, but this was always a pretty good site. Lots of activity, fun things to do, tempers flaring and subsiding ... sort of like a nursery school for mature adults.

I think most forums have their ebb and flow, their own personal rhythms, and the trick is to learn to ride them much as a surfer learns to read and ride the waves.
You've been missed Phil...Great to see you again. Stick around now!!!

I'm not sure if it's me, or this forum. I can't seem to find many threads, lately, that have much appeal, for me. I used to be very interested in things, here, but now it seems that topics get recycled, endlessly, with the usual suspects posting their usual things.
Dear tree guy,

Losing interest in things we were once interested in might be an age thing. Fight it with all the gusto you've got left. There's no way there are not enough forums and threads in SF to peak your interest...at least a handful anyway. The amount of interesting threads is numerous and diverse...literally hundreds. Or, like they say, if you're bored you might be boring...or even a "usual suspect" lol.

When I come to SF: I laugh. I cry. I ponder. I wonder. I analyze. I learn. I grow. My communication skills get tested and retested. I make friends. I make enemies. I ask myself why. I learn forgiveness. I learn tolerance. I learn self-control. I'm grateful for what others offer. I see beautiful pictures. I research and post pictures that I think others will enjoy...and I enjoy. I find everyone interesting for one reason or another. Look for it.

Scroll through and ask yourself, can I learn anything in this one, can I teach anyone something in that one, can i laugh or make someone laugh, can I help to heal a hurt, do I have any questions, do I think I'm better than the "Usual Suspects", do I need to humble myself, etc etc

Senior Forums touch on all the senses: See (pics and posts). Taste (Food forums). Touch(when you touch your computer keys you can work on accuracy, grammar, and speed). Hear (lots of videos are posted). Smell (well, if you smell something you might have a problem lol). Don't let age dull your senses.

Sincerely, One of those "Usual Suspects"
:)

Thanks all for the warm welcome back. I feel like I should be looking for a fatted calf. :playful:

Here ya go, you prodigal son, you:

Well, anytime you find the forum boring, just check out some spirited debates - like the ones involving flu shots, measles shots, opinions about medical procedures, doctors, etc...

:playful:

Well, I'm one of a new member here and trying to wriggle myself in but some tell me I talk about one
thing too much. For the short time I've been here I believe I've posted quite a bit. I notice a lot of members like to attack some posts, they need to post more maybe.

Now since I use a pendulum and do muscle testing, I know who our next president will be.

But I think I read somewhere no politics. ummmmmmm

You can say that again.

I joined this group in anticipation of leaving another group where some of the people are just plain Mean and Nasty, Adult Bullies and attack everyone who doesn't think as they do....this is mostly in the Health area as this is a major interest of mine. A pharma doctor, wife of a doctor, pharmacist and the beat goes on -- they are so closed to other's ways of healing. But I've been "told" pretty harshly by some here already, so....guess it's the internet that can bring out the worst in so many.
