Jazz Anyone?.. Post the ones you enjoy....

Good ones, HorselessCarriage! As you know, Sing, Sing, Sing was a big showcase for Benny Goodman, as a way to feature the jungle drumming of Gene Krupa. He always stole the show with it, too. I didn't realize until later years that the piece was written by Louis Prima in 1936, who used it with his own big band in the '30s, featuring clarinetist Pee Wee Russell.

In The Mood was a great dance tune, generally considered to be the best jitterbug song ever. I like the way it was featured in Cannery Row (1982) in that great scene with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger dancing to it while getting fagged out..:) It's been awhile since I jitterbugged!

You like that era? My wife and I have been lifelong Latin & Ballroom dancers, we met on the dance floor. Here's a huge hit of the past.
It's great for dancing the Cha-cha-cha to.
Another Latin favourite would be Rhumba.

On the Latin subject, we loved to show off dancing
the Paso Doble to: "Those Were The Days."
