OMG!!! Finally a convicted paedophile has confessed to the murder of little JonBenet Ramsey , after all these years.

The hell he put that family through , (if indeed he's guilty) deserves the death sentence alone....

A longtime suspect in the murder of JonBenét Ramsey has finally admitted he killed the then six-year old beauty pageant queen, DailyMailTV can exclusively reveal.

Gary Oliva, 54, a convicted pedophile who is currently serving a 10-year sentence in a Colorado prison for child pornography, has admitted in letters obtained by DailyMailTV he killed her by accident.
Oliva, who was once jailed for trying to strangle his mother, wrote: 'I never loved anyone like I did JonBenét and yet I let her slip and her head bashed in half and I watched her die. It was an accident. Please believe me. She was not like the other kids.'
In another letter, Oliva wrote, 'JonBenét completely changed me and removed all evil from me. Just one look at her beautiful face, her glowing beautiful skin, and her divine God-body, I realized I was wrong to kill other kids. Yet by accident she died and it was my fault.'

I see what you mean RR.. but if he's not the killer why did he have hundreds of pictures of JonBenet on his phone when he was arrested years ago for other crimes... ( just a rhetoric question)

Yeah, I know... even autopsy photos! People can get anything on the Dark Web. I was thinking 335 photos could be an apt amount as this girl was very well-photographed and recorded.. I hope it IS him tho' so finally be an answer. . Wasn't that poor girl found with some type of garrote tied to a stick or a paintbrush or something? ugh

Nothing on Snopes yet , the same story is on a few questionable sites but nothing yet on our MSM.

Edit to say, the article did not say the photos were on his phone.

I thought her [official] cause of death was stated to be asphyxia..?

Some goofs confess just for attention...this sounds like one of those IMO.

Gee, a pedophile having multiple pictures of a pageant princes sounds like what a pedophile would do. Having pics of her dosen't prove his quilt. At this point in time, real unambiguous, legal PROOF is needed. I, for one am, sick of tabloid "suspects", and half baked, true crime writers claiming to know the guilt of anybody connected with this case.

If he committed the crime I can't think of a punishment severe enough for him. I wonder when he sent the first note to his friend and did the friend immediately call the police. I guess we just have to wait and see.

Boulder, Co. police comment on the article posted. SOURCE

BOULDER, Colo. — Police in Boulder appear to be dismissing a man’s alleged confession to JonBenet Ramsey’s murder.

The DailyMail.Com reported Thursday that Gary Oliva, 54, admitted in letters obtained by the tabloid to killing Ramsey by accident.

However, the Boulder Police Department released a statement Thursday which appears to refute claims made by the convicted pedophile, who has made similar confessions.

“The Boulder Police Department is aware of Mr. Oliva and has investigated his potential involvement in this case, including several previous confessions. The department routinely receives information on this investigation. Information provided to the police department is reviewed along with the many tips and theories we receive. There are no new updates in this investigation and the department will not comment further,” the statement reads.

Actually it came from the Australian news as well as the Uk news... but as it turns out Boulder police are dismissing this mans' confession today...

ETA..yes SB ( sorry just saw your post) ..it's a pity that they don't think it's the right person, because it would have brought closure to the whole ramsey family, but of course paedophile or not, confession or not, no-one should be found guilty of a crime they didn't commit..

I just wonder where the media got hold of this story, it was headlines in many media sources both sides of the pond yesterday...

Unless there are definite proven facts to be announced, I have no patience whatsoever with people who stir up and apparently salivate over the details of horrendous crimes, unsolved or solved. Using the excuse that they are "memorializing" the person cuts no ice with me.

I've heard that name beforein regard to this case.
Isn't he the guy that was running his mouth about coming into a large sum of money and then told a roomate that it didn't work out and he didn't get the money(ransom).

I was thinking about this thread when it dawned on me of a similar (not too similar) situation where a young boy named Bobby Greenlease (I think) was kidnapped from his Catholic elementary school and held for ransom. The kidnappers were a man and a woman, who were not married. The parents of Bobby were super rich and would have paid it all to get their son back. The father decided to have the police removed from the case, which was a huge mistake. The male kidnapper ended up shooting and killing the little boy. It's another really good true crime movie that will hold your attention, although now I did give away the plot and ending. But, there is so much more to this story and it again proves that there is EVIL in this world.

There are people out there in the world that should not be walking around with the rest of us.

About the Jon Benet Ramsay case, this is a great example of what's wrong with capital punishment. There are always nut cases out there, eager for their 15 minutes of fame. What if this guy was
actually convicted based on this "confession," and executed for a crime he did not commit?

DNA evidence has proved that a large number of convicted "killers" on death row were actually innocent.

This man is clearly a sicko, who should probably be incarcerated for life for his multiple crimes, but it's so easy for an outraged public to jump on the vengeance bandwagon.

There was a time in our history when the bad guys would give death bed confessions or even admit to their killing or other wrong doing before dying or being executed. However, in today's real life, that has become passe'. I have read stories about many serial killers who would not give up either the names of those they killed or where they buried their victims' bodies. So many families that fell victim to these serial killers have had to suffer for years not knowing the answers to the questions that they were seeking. For example: How did my daughter die? Where did you bury her? and so on. The families just want to know for their own peace of mind and to give their child or maybe their mom, dad, sister or bother a decent burial. Instead, they have to lie in bed at night and think maybe their child is lying in a swamp or under a pile of dirt somewhere. I can't even begin to imagine the torture that some of them are going through.
