OMG! You just took me back to great times! I was just absolutely stuck on Soul Train (when allowed). The elder (you fill in the blank) siblings was stuck on American Bandstand. Soul Train was #1 in my opinion. Thanks for bringing those awesome times back to me.

Hubert Laws never seemed to get as much press as some of the others. This chart could be called a "smooth jazz" piece, but Hubert can bebop with the best of 'em. His brother Ronnie too.

JJ Johnson. Mr. Bebop, likely one of the first trombonists to embrace that genre.

Soloing on "Blue Bossa". Interesting exchange between the pianist and JJ -- such interplay being the essence of jazz.
