King Charles And Queen Camilla Plan Trip To Australia

"Harry's visit to check on Charles comes as the King resumes plans to visit Australia with Camilla in October this year. While the cancer diagnosis has forced the monarch to pause many of his upcoming engagements, it seems that Charles is determined to make the trip."

"The visit is supposed to happen around the same time as the Commonwealth heads of government meeting in Samoa. It was first confirmed in early January by Anthony Albanese, the prime Minister of Australia, and will be the first by a ruling monarch since Queen Elizabeth II's visit in 2011."

"A source spoke about the resumption of plans for the trip to The Telegraph. They said, "We continue planning, but we're not at any stage to confirm timing or dates because it's the first week of the King's treatment. It certainly remains the case that he's hopeful it will go ahead."

"While King Charles steps back from public royal duties amid his cancer treatment, Queen Camilla is keeping a busy schedule of outings."

"King Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla, 76, traveled from their country residence in Sandringham back to London on Tuesday. The King received cancer treatment in the city and undertook meetings with palace staff, while the Queen had a special event take place at Clarence House, the couple's longtime home in the capital."

"Queen Camilla was installed as an Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers. During the ceremony, she was clothed in a robe by the Master Fan Maker and presented with a fan designed by Stewart Parvin M.V.O., commissioned in 2020 to mark the impact of COVID-19 on so many lives."

Buckingham Palace stated any books speculating about the King's diagnosis and treatment are "intrusive, insensitive and filled with inaccuracies".

"The Palace added that the Royal Family's legal team will be "looking at the issue closely". The books speculated about which type of cancer King Charles was diagnosed with, despite the King not stating publicly which type of cancer he has. A spokesman for Buckingham Palace urged any "organisations facilitating their sale to withdraw them immediately". Amazon confirmed it has removed the titles that "violated our content guidelines".

"It looks like Prince William is starting to run the show now that his father, King Charles, has been diagnosed with cancer, an insider revealed."

“He’s taken more control at the palace, staying in constant contact with Charles’ aides,” said the source. “He’s basically the Firm’s point man right now.”

"William, 41, and his aunt Princess Anne have added more engagements to their diaries that Charles, 75, is unable to attend."

"The dad-of-three “has tended toward less of the day-to-day routine work of the monarchy, compared to his father, instead focusing on bigger, glitzier engagements,” said royal historian Ed Owens. “But now he’ll be expected to fill in on many of these more mundane public outings.”

King Charles told Prince William to 'spend more time with family' in telling royal message

King Charles reportedly told Prince William to savor spending time with his wife and children because he will be spending 'years and years' fulfilling his royal duties.

And it may be that the Prince of Wales, 41, would have to take on the main duties earlier than expected if King Charles' health deteriorates. In which case, his father has reminded him of the importance of spending time with his family, according to author Ingrid Seward, who has written a book on the monarch's upbringing 'My Mother and I'.

"Charles always put duty first because that's what his mother did. And that's what [King Charles' first wife Princess] Diana decided she wouldn't do," Seward told HELLO! magazine.

I think Charles has encouraged William to spend more time with the family and also said to William, 'I don't want you to take on any royal duties until you absolutely have to', because you remember we criticized William the work-shy?

"When his wife Kate Middleton was forced to undergo surgery to her abdomen in January, William had to step in and make arrangements for the family. That meant canceling her duties and postponing his own commitments, as he looked after the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis."

"Kate has been recovering from the surgery and is not expected to return to royal duties until after Easter. It means William has been more busy than usual in taking care of their children, as well as ensuring his wife is as comfortable as possible. And it seems to have worked well as she joined the family for a trip to Norfolk during half-term week in February, with the Princess said to be making good progress in her recovery."

"King Charles III has approved changes to the way legislation is granted Royal Assent in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It means the introduction of legislation can be expedited through the granting of Royal Assent by His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor.

"The new process will take effect from 29 February, the States of Guernsey said. The States said the new procedure should result in faster processing of primary legislation."

"His Majesty King Charles has been captured in a photograph during one of his increasingly uncommon appearances since his cancer diagnosis was revealed last month."

"The captured image, which surfaced in the Daily Mail on March 8, shows the 75-year-old monarch aboard a vehicle as he departs from Windsor Castle on the day."

"Reportedly, this particular encounter occurs just two days following the broadcast of news regarding the passing of King Charles’s friend and huntsman, Ian Farquhar, on the royal Highgrove estate, likely presaging the King’s attendance at Farquhar’s memorial service."

@Meanderer
Thanks again for keeping us up to date with RF posts and pictures.
I have lived in Canada for over 60 years but I grew up with them in my life
so a big part of me is still very British as far as the Royals are concerned.
Wishing them all the best throughout this very trying time .

"King Charles’ spokesperson expressed the monarch’s pride for his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton after she revealed her cancer diagnosis last night."

Buckingham Palace said the King is “so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did”.

"The pair have 'remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law throughout the past weeks' after they spent time in hospital together, according to the spokesperson."

"They added that Charles and his wife, Camilla, 'will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family through this difficult time'."

"In a video statement released on Friday, Princess of Wales announced she was diagnosed with cancer after a planned abdominal surgery in January."

She said she is now undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

The news comes a few weeks after the monarch revealed he was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year following a separate procedure for a benign prostate enlargement.
