"Every day was a chore in country life on the Longmont plains. Life required a great deal of time and attention, in the day. This is a shot from the dining room primarily of the work station in an old kitchen. The big green bin held flour and the crank at the bottom sifted the flour into the work bowl. The free-standing sink has some squash for dinner ready to clean."

"The churn and scale is at the ready. A "food processor" is clamped to the side table along with county service recipes and tips. I'll bet there was a kitchen table in here originally. Work in this kitchen took some time and there was no microwave and processed, packaged foods in the freezer!"
