Morning. Slept good last night. Woke early despite going to bed at nearly 5 a.m.
It is very windy today. The lights have been flickering and my trash trolly is already tipped over. I'll have to go out and move it so it doesn't blow off.
Ok, got it moved. I laid it down by the front side of the porch. Hopefully it will stay put. This wind will be no good for my lungs today. So I will probably not venture out to check the trash outside the entrance to the unit. I'll wait til tomorrow.
One of the new hires was handling the trash last night without gloves on and he came out with the two bags that had just been in the cdiff room I cleaned. I told him that and told him to go and wash his hands with soap and water right away and to make sure he wears his gloves. I let my supervisor know cuz I'm sure none of the rest of us want cdiff.
I was talking with the unit pharmacist and he said if your cdiff can't be cured then they have to use fecal matter from someone else and put it in you. There's only two ways that have been approved for that. One...a pill...

and two...an enema...

Neither of which sounds like anything I want done to me. Just the idea of it makes me feel like I should bathe in Purell sanitizer.
If you didn't know it, you learned something today and you're welcome. LOL
If I had to choose...there's no way in hell they could get me to swallow a pill. I'd rather die.
It was ridiculously busy last night in the unit. One of the docs chewed out a druggie that had been in the week before. Made the poor kid mad. Awwww!

The kid was super rude to him. The dr flat out told him he needed to get help and if he wasn't gonna get help he didn't need to come to the ER next time he got sick. I've only seen that doc mad one other time. Every once in a while if they get stressed enough and a patient gets out of line they go off on them.
Well, can't wait to see what the day brings.
