We have about 20 acres. We just live here and farm what we can. We raised some livestock, and have wild mushrooms. It is not our land. We take care of it.

"spartan"... what are you feeling about living in the forest with distant neighbors?

I lived in cities with thousands around me as well as on acreage with nearest neighbor
a mile away and felt more lonely in those cities. So I totally admire your choice .

You really did a good thing, keeping your journal of homesteading. I loved reading about your life back then. Do you have your website somewhere in your profile? I am sure others would love to read it. I got to know you much closer by reading it.

@IrishEyes I can tell you have been around the block. I too lived in a big city for about a year. NYC!
