Great minds think alike!Looks like a calming and serene place, Dennis. Nice. When I read your thread title, I was looking for a band with tambourines and elephants, a giant doing cartwheels, a statue wearing high heels, and happy creatures dancin' on the lawn. Doo doo doo.![]()
Indeed!Great minds think alike!![]()
We have about 20 acres. We just live here and farm what we can. We raised some livestock, and have wild mushrooms. It is not our land. We take care of it.looks a bit spartan and lonely? - you'd need a very good companion?
You really did a good thing, keeping your journal of homesteading. I loved reading about your life back then. Do you have your website somewhere in your profile? I am sure others would love to read it. I got to know you much closer by reading it.Looking out your window at the forest is the best place to be. I miss doing that.
Thank you so much! I think I have my blog posted there. I have been floundering with that blog now........I don't who I am at this point in my life. I loved being the homesteader. You really did a good thing, keeping your journal of homesteading. I loved reading about your life back then. Do you have your website somewhere in your profile? Hey @smiley , I am very curious about what you mean by spartan.?I have been here for 40 years and never heard that description along with lonely. I have lived with friends the whole time, so though loneliness is s state of mind, I have on occasion felt lonely here. Buy mainly I feel very content living here. I love the mountains, trees, and all the free, wild animals in the forest. So Sparta it is not, closer to Nottingham Forest.looks a bit spartan and lonely? - you'd need a very good companion?
don't take my view too seriously - I could have said 'bleak' perhaps - but it was my reaction to the pic which looked a bit colorless and bleak ?? in my eyes anyway?Hey @smiley , I am very curious about what you mean by spartan.?I have been here for 40 years and never heard that description along with lonely.
