Man-purses: do you use them?

That one looks like it has more padding on the strap than the one I ordered, so it's probably better for the trail.

I think my hiking days are over. There are just too many people wherever you go in Colorado that it takes the fun out of it. It's not exactly "getting away" from it all when it's like walking through Times Square.

The single shoulder strap took some getting used to, but does have another strap that crosses my chest, keeping it in position and stable. My regular backpack of course had two straps, but was unnecessarily bulky and had endless zippered compartments that made it difficult to find my stuff.

My hubby carried one for years-he just stopped when he retired a few months ago. It was actually a case with handles that we bought to carry his tablet I think 15 or more years ago. But he started using it for keys, checkbook, wallet, glasses, nail clippers etc.etc.etc.,so we called it his "man bag". Shortly before he retired,he bought a new one-bigger-but now he doesn`t use it.

My sentiments exactly, simpler is often much better.

Man-purses: do you use them?

Uh, no

Everything I need I carry in my front pockets

Thin billfold
Money clip
Keys

Everything else remains in the truck tool box or cab
of which I have a smallish leather ring bound note pad
I'll take out a sheet of things I'm shopping for and put that
in.....you guessed it......my front pocket
Same here @Gary O'
I couldn't picture myself stepping out of a big rig in a truck stop carrying a purse. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Ever since I was 16, I've always put my wallet in my front pocket. I could never figure out why anyone would put it in their back pocket. They even make front-pocket wallets.
The front pocket is always much safer. I use a canvas briefcase type bag when I travel by plane. Having been stranded at a variety of airports where I could not get my luggage, I always need something able to hold essential items for spending the night including a change of underwear. I have a smaller bag that I use when I anticipate a long wait somewhere like a Doctor's Office or waiting for a medical procedure for my wife to be completed. Neither one of them is "stylish" like they are trying to sell these days.

If we let these "style gurus" dress us, we would look rather foolish.

Men do have the advantage of more functional designs in their clothes. Lots of pockets, interior and exterior on their jackets and coats.

I see nothing wrong with men carrying a crossbody or shoulder bag, they’re practical.
