Mastering a skill

I'm embarrassed to tell this but I'll be honest. About 30 minutes ago I figured out how to turn my husband's new cell phone off. Yep I mastered that skill. I was so proud of myself I went in and woke him up and told him. He'd went to bed mad because he couldn't get it to turn off. We just bought it this afternoon. I figured out that first we had to hit "ok" to acknowledge that the last call failed, then hit the little red phone icon and it'd turn off!

How to put a new reel of price tickets in a pricing gun at work, it’s a lot easier than it looks !

I learned how to use a power tool..DeWalt drill/driver to screw some screws into the wall unit we're building. I even reversed that sucker!!! I was pretty stoked! :) Now I want to screw everything!

..............um.....no, not like that!!!! :eek:mg: Get your mind out of the gutter! :what:

I'm kind of short and i have finally mastered (after about 8 tries) the art of getting in/out of my son in laws huge Texas sized pickup truck without looking like a total dork.

I think the skill I last mastered was lead climbing in the gym, but that was well over 20 years ago. I've expanded other skills but haven't really picked up a new skill in a while.

Here's a video of me at my best 10 years ago. One doesn't need to hang by one hand in order to clip the rope in. I used to do that for fun and called those clips poser clips.

Awesome! Did you rock-climb? I know someone who is still climbing in his early 70's.

Yep, I was never really that good outdoors, but I have had some fun climbing outside the gym. I actually learned outdoors before the bay area had any climbing gyms. I'll probably get back to climbing after I retire. I've climbed in a lot of places but climbing in Yosemite has been one of my dream experiences.

I always enjoyed Math .... and was good at Algebra in school. . I was an accountant before retirement ...
But try as I might, what kids are learning today makes my head hurt!
.. so much drawing and doodling ....:ROFLMAO:

Loved that, you must have amazing strength in your shoulders... My daughter has climbed a wall similar... ( she's a real go getter)

My daughter bought me a smart phone 2 years ago. I have become a master at cussing it out.
