iam talking about the average man on the streets-not for films , it is not just gay men who like to wear it' straight men too'
it seems to be the in thing at the moment' personally I dont think it is manly enough 'johnny depp wears it in his advert and
looks ghastly ,so do men need it -what is your honest view.

Some men have eyelashes I would kill for. I haven't personally seen men wearing eye makeup, other than drag queens (who are sometimes really gorgeous). Have seen it on rockers, who kind of suit it.

I have never seen a man on the street wearing actual eye makeup but do think they look ok with a bronzer. What I can't figure out is how they apply it over beard stubble.

It has been happening for years now. Men are looking more & more lady like with their tight jeans, jewelry & make up. Women are looking more masculine every year with their clothes. If you want to see a good looking woman you almost have to buy a magazine or look at a movie. Glad I'm in my 70s.

I know one person that wears it and it fascinates me to the point that I feel like I'm constantly staring at him when we talk.

My reaction is the thing that makes me uncomfortable not the makeup.

I have similar reactions when I encounter people that are different in some way but it normally fades as I become used to the difference or comfortable with the person.

Jason Momoa in eye makeup? Oh, hell yes! He can come over and borrow mine any day he wants! (As soon as I run out and buy some...…)

This is why we were told, before moving here, "you pretty much be open-minded to live here". However, we simply aren't that open minded and never have been. Went to one cashier at a local grocery store and he had on makeup. Eyeliner, rouge and even lipstick. All we could think of was "yuk!" Last time we seen him at the store, he had no makeup on. We could talk to him then.
A guy, who works as a cashier at a local liquor store, uses an eyebrow pencil and colored eye shadow. We are courteous to him, but wonder "where in the heck did we move to? The retired Seniors here have told us, "yep, that is what our lovely city has turned into and it's really too bad."

It's pretty sad, to be honest with you. And yeah, man buns are foolish looking, although It would be nice to have that much hair. I live in a small town, very rural. You just don't see that stuff here, thank goodness.

Fmdog44....are you sure Clark Gable wore eye liner? ā˜¹ļø Nope I’ve never seen make-up on a man, I do see them having a manicures which I think looks nice ( no polish tho )

I haven't seen many men with eye makeup out in the streets, but maybe I never noticed. If they want to wear some liner or shadow, I feel that's their business, why should just women be allowed to do things that they feel improve their looks. Some women go overboard and look like painted clowns, either gender can pull it off in a tasteful way, IMO.

I've seen a lot of men on TV, even news reporters or weather men that wear some eye makeup, and they look fine. Movie actors wear even more, I don't have a problem with that either. My husband would not do something like that, but he also doesn't like to wear jewelry like rings or chains, he only wears a watch when absolutely necessary.
