Name a chore...

Count change back to customer at the checkout
Oh, the fun I used to have on new and young cashiers, handing them paper money along with exact change in return for all paper bills.

They used to stare at the money, then go to the cash register, punch everything in, then attempt to make change for the change I handed them! ROFLMAO!

I was a spoiled child and didn't do chores. But...

Does anybody remember Wite-out? We used to use it to correct mistakes on typewritten documents. You would paint it over, then retype.
I remember it well. I always thought, "It looks like crap; I can still see that there was a correction. I also remember a "Correcting Selectric" typewriter that had a correction ribbon. That made the correction much less noticeable, since you typed the same wrong letter on the ribbon. It was a big deal back then. I think it was IBM.

LOL I still use it. The one I have is called Cover-it...and i get at the Dollar Store. I use it all the time when I'm filling out ppwk for Social Security or medicare stuff. Then when I fax it...they cant tell if I've had to use it.

I have a bottle of Wite-out in my desk drawer that I used 2 days ago.

Until we got our first dishwasher,my sister and I would argue about who would wash the dishes and who would dry them. I also babysat my 2 nephews the first one was born were born when I was 6yrs old.and the 2nd one when I was 8yrs old. I also ironed my school blouse and my sisters blouses while she would do the shopping.

I had to do this, too. You had to wrestle the clothes. They were stiff as a board, and freeze welded to the clothes line. And what did I have to do with this heavy frozen pile of clothes? Put them in our CLOTHES DRYER. Of course, our clothes had to smell out door fresh.
Living with our parents- it's no wonder we're crazy as hell.

We didn't have a clothes dryer..when I brought the frozen clothes in I had to hang them on a pulley in the kitchen.. ... and the heat from the stove would hopefully defrost them
