My much older brother and his family moved in my Mom's house after he got out of the Army, when I was 5yrs old.I automatically became Auntie Barbara will do it. So I became a baby sitter to keep my nephew occupied. Put him for his nap, feed him his bottle etc. I hung up clothes on the clothes line, and my sister and I washed the dishes. My sister did all the errands.

I just remembered that I was the one that got to paste the green stamps into the book.

I also got to pick out something I wanted sometimes...usually it was something for my room.

Oooo -- your saying the Green Stamps thing reminded me that that was my and my sister's job, too. My mom would just throw them in a drawer and then periodically it would be our job to stick 'em in the little books. Hadn't thought about that in years. That glue was awful tasting. We got the idea of a damp sponge, but that always either got them too wet and the glue came off, or not wet enough and they wouldn't stick.
