New Forum... looking for your thoughts

I was giving thought to a dedicated forum based on unsolved crimes and mysteries, missing persons, the unexplained, solved cases, etc.

Wanted to share my idea with everyone to get your insight on.

Your thoughts?

Zodiac Killer in Calif. never caught
Crim Documentaries neglect the unsolved serial killers
Of course, we don't know how many there are.

The access and exchange of information between states hampers determining if murders are related.
You can determine who the bad guys are with a national police force, but your going to have to give up
a lot of personal freedoms.

Do you help solve the crimes?
Great question.

I guess if the right member came along who just so happened to know certain details about a mentioned crime/mystery, etc, then yes, but my thought was based more upon pulling SF members together that enjoy in depth discussion surrounding such.

There was a recent thread topic found here - https://www.seniorforums.com/threads/escape-from-alcatraz.35653/#post-1508964, however, as fast as it was started, it seemed to die off just as quickly, whereas had there been a dedicated forum here for such, quite possibly those who enjoy delving into such cases may have kept the discussion going.

Fictional? I was part of a group that wrote a short story murder mystery. each person was assigned a number. The originator wrote the first paragraph and then each person, In numerical order, took the next two days to write the second paragraph, then the next person would write the third paragraph, etc. etc. It was pretty good and turned out actually very interesting, Although one person has some deep sexual interests so it was difficult to follow his paragraph!

That sounds like fun. This place needs some fun stuff.

Sounds intriguing , I watched a documentary on disappearances not long ago. The number of them is staggering . And some of the reasons believed for them are varied. Some are verified ! Some folks just walk away ........
