Of course, and communism to follow. That's not what I see.
I see a steady march towards anarchy and/or civil war.

"In the Valley of the Jolly, HO, HO, HO..."It's where all the fake boobs are made![]()
I have heard of the Bilderberg Group that rules the world. Here is a video about their agenda. It sounds similar to what you are saying.?Neo feudalism isn't a conspiracy theory. All over the world people are being encouraged to rent if prices are so high they cannot afford to own. When you own a home you have equity and can borrow against it. And banks are never too big to fail in a Capitalist society. Banks are a business. They're in the business of lending money, If anyone says a bank is too big to fail, it makes me wonder if they are being funded by said bank to say so.
It's not a "conspiracy" as much as connect the dots. I don't know whether the world will move more towards communism or roll back towards feudalism but this is real not some conspiracy. We can see it happening more and more everyday. What we do about it will determine the outcome, perhaps?
Nor should it be.Once it has been proven the theory is a fact. I'm not sure an uncoerced live confession is enough for those invested in denial.
Get a room.cheeky - but I do like you!!
"Valley Girl" song and 80s Val-speak was about The San Fernando Valley, a large suburb of Los Angeles, known in So Cal simply as "The Valley." Places mentioned in the song: Encino, the Galleria and Ventura (Blvd) are all SFV locations.AARP partnered with OATS and SP but they don't sponsor them, they just bring old people to them.
Silicon Valley tech companies sponsor them; provide equip, knowledge, services, teachers, etc.
That's why your comment threw me off. I didn't realize you thought Valley Girl was about the Silicon Valley.Guess who sponsors them? (hint: what region of Calif comes to mind when I say "Valley-girl"?)
The credit card companies make their money by getting a percentage of each sale. Who pays this is up to the individual business. If they can get away with passing it along to their customers, they may do it. Large businesses usually just include it in their advertised prices. They want to encourage you to use a card because it is more efficient for them than handling cash. Small businesses may pass it along if they think it won't harm sales. It makes their advertised prices seem lower. Either way, the customer is still paying it.Good point Hearlady. I'm noticing places in our area are starting to charge. Some of the smaller stores were already doing that. To have to pay to use our cards if the society goes cashless would be quite unfair, wouldn't it?!
Oooohhh. Got it. Well, just about everyone in No-Cal associates Valley-Girl with Silicon Valley."Valley Girl" song and 80s Val-speak was about The San Fernando Valley, a large suburb of Los Angeles, known in So Cal simply as "The Valley." The Zappas live in Laurel Canyon, which is SFV-adjacent, and Moon attended Oakwood Private School in the Valley.Oooohhh. Got it. Well, just about everyone in No-Cal associates Valley-Girl with Silicon Valley.
I've actually never heard the song.
To take hold, communism requires a revolution, a civil war or a takeover by a communist neighbour so it is a possibility but an unlikely one.Of course, and communism to follow.
True. It might not look like it right now, but yeah, highly unlikely here.To take hold, communism requires a revolution, a civil war or a takeover by a communist neighbour so it is a possibility but an unlikely one.

IDK. There is a form of communism "for the greater good" or for your own safety, that abolishes an individual's rights in favor of the collective. We saw the beginnings of this during covid. All it requires is legislation. To take hold, communism requires a revolution, a civil war or a takeover by a communist neighbour so it is a possibility but an unlikely one.
I've referred to some books, as one on the "Young Global Leaders" by the author's collective C. Nyder and Ernst Wolf's "World Economic Forum". If you don't mind to spend an hour and watch the linked documentary on the WEF by the Swiss kla.tv you'll get a good overwiew, much better than I could give it. You can choose the English version.I am not suggesting that this theory is "wrong". It does invoke a large element of fear though. In that case one should provide facts and evidence so others can understand. Could you do that for us? Thank you.![]()
Klaus Schwab has built up a network of politicians that follow the goals of the WEF exactly. These "Young Global Leaders" became the presidents of many countries. The word 'democracy' is a lie in this context, as the decisions are not made in the countries on their own but by the WEF, which itself is entangled with other organizations as the Bilderberg Group, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and so on.can you do an intro and conclusion ?? - we'll trust you to keep it straight??
I agree. No country has total freedom, all our individual rights and choices have restrictions for the greater good.Civilization happens because humans agree to make laws that restrict individual rights/choices.
"for the greater good". This can only be a joke or you are still sleeping. Don't or won't you notice what is happening? If Dr. Aseem Malhotra as a cardiologist says that the rise in cases of myocarditis is caused by the mRNA vaccines, why don't you believe it? He is by far not the only one, there are several other physicians too.I agree. No country has total freedom, all our individual rights and choices have restrictions for the greater good.
what they are and to what degree varies - but all places have them
There seems a lot of unfounded fear mongering and 'Reds under the beds' in this thread
Oh, I think agenda-setters get ideas all the time, often bad ideas. Can't blame me for their evil ideas. My latest edition of AARP Magazine introduced me to a whole new menu of Elder Scams. The evil who want to take all our savings and then kill us off are far more creative than I am.New technology that lowers operating costs and therefore increases profits is the major reason why so much of it has been rapidly embraced across the board.
This technology is being developed and deployed has many weaknesses that are being exploited because "it ain't as good as advertised" and obviously not as secure. Again, it's all about money.
With a little patience all the boomers will be gone anyway, so what's the hurry? As far as wanting us old folks to commit suicide, I don't think that might have crossed their minds, but since you mentioned it in an internet forum ( their milieu ) --you just gave "them" the idea.
There is no such thing as true communism. It always, always, morphs into oligarchy. (See past and current Soviet Union). We're on a straight and speedy line to communism.
Last time I flew, recalling the Southwest Airlines meltdown of technology from 2022, and a more recent news story of flights disrupted at airports because of another kind of tech breakdown, I printed up my boarding pass just in case. Did the same with my other reservations.I don't believe there's any conspired agenda to get seniors to "kill" ourselves, but I certainly agree that technology is advancing faster than many of us can or maybe want to embrace.
A perfect for instance for me is electronic tickets and boarding passes for flying, I hate that. I prefer paper ticket but can deal with the electronic format. But what happens when airlines and other businesses get to the point everything must be done electronically? An entire demographic of those who can't or won't embrace new technology are left behind, that bothers me.
It's an ugly truth of life, adapt or be left behind, and us seniors may feel that more than any other age.
