Not that anyone is asking

Those [at] CPS think that the love the children have for you just evaporates with the signature on the bottom of a legal form? Makes me spitting mad.
I'm pretty sure that's what their adopting father believes.

Not so sure about his wife. She seems more in tune with how children think and feel and how life's shyte effects them. She's Paxton's only hope, but I think her husband is very patriarchal. So, there's that.

Just for fun, here's some cosplay costumes I've made for my son and his family over the years. Mostly these were for Sac-anime and Sacramento Comic-cons.

2017 - Dragonball Z

2017 - My son as Captain Kirk. Dress uniform, I guess.

2018 - My son as Kratos

I forget who these characters are, but it's almost the whole fam

I'm sad to hear that CPS requires the children to have no contact with you. I hope that rule isn't written in stone.
Yes. Or that, when he comes of age, he'll come looking for you.
Actually, CPS told Brandon & Megan that visits would no longer be scheduled through CPS, that they would no longer encourage visits, and that it's B & M's choice to let Paxton visit me or not.

On Wednesday, I visited Pax via Zoom. Brandon arranged it. Then he let Pax call me yesterday evening.

Paxton will probably be asking for more visits, at least via Zoom. We'll see what happens.

are you ok? see all the flooding in Ca. and wonder about you!!
There was no flooding up here. Just a spit of rain and some cloudy skies. It didn't even get very windy.

The flooding happened mostly in the desert areas in So-Cal. The reservoirs in Los Angeles filled up and carried tons of trash into the sea. The city moved huge loads of beach sand in an effort to slow that tragedy, but you know what happens to sand-castles under heavy rain.

The people worst-effected were tens of thousands of homeless in LA and some folks in Palm Beach who's lives were frozen because they didn't want to drive their Bentleys and Esquires over all the mud in their driveways.

Because we are Cali. 🤪 ☮️

glad to hear it!!

So the costumes I made for my son and his family's cosplay turned out really good. His wife only sent me 2 photos so far; one of herself and one of my granddaughter, Ariel. Hope she sends one of my son.

Anyway, they're cosplaying the main characters of the newest Star Wars installation, a series called Ahsoka.

My Daughter-in-Law is Ahsoka:

And this is the "real" Ahsoka:

And Ariel is Shin Hati, an evil Jedi apprentice:

My DIL is costume crazy, she is a Halloween nut and the whole family gets involved in comicon and Halloween. I will see if I can find some pictures. I need to ask permission before I share.
Every cosplayer I've met says Halloween is their favorite holiday. Certainly true of Liam (my son) and his family. But that makes sense, right?

I never bought Halloween costumes for my kids. I always made them.

Yep, Halloween is dear DIL is favorite holiday!! She has an entire closet full of costumes, wigs, props. She is a cosmotologist and very good with make up. She does not sew but it maybe a talent of family or friends.

I must confess, it is not my thing but I am guilty of looking for things on sale or clearance after the holiday that she can add to her bag of tricks for the future.

The only costume I made that got noticed/won was a view of San Francisco sales contest at work. I wore a curtain rod complete with curtains with a poster of San Francisco behind my head. The curtains/drapes covered the rest. Not easy to balance a set of drapes on the top of your head.

I always like to have fun so I don't have a problem with being/looking silly!!
