It matters little to American citizens who is the Prime Minister of Australia but the choice of POTUS does matter to us, here downunder. It is truly a big deal.

Of course it's a big deal, but we've been assessing the candidates for literally years. I have never known one person who changed their vote on the basis of a debate.

It depends on where you live. Some states are nearly entirely captive to one faction or the other. Others live in more democratic environments where more people are near the center and it can actually make a difference.

Not trying to bicker, but I've lived in NY, MO, VA, MI, NV, and now ND, and I have never known anyone who has changed their position on the basis of a debate.

That doesn't mean it never happens, of course. I concede your point.

One or the other of them could have brilliant answers and the other sit there like a wart on a toad and the "other camp" is not going to HEAR what's said, just pick apart the opponent's words. That stuff is for the 🐦🕊️🦅🐓 (and elementary schoolers.)

I couldn't have put it any better. It's on now and my wife is watching but it's more bulls--t than I can handle.

Recently, like a few weeks ago or less, Russian ships were spotted just off the Florida Coast "practicing". That never would have been allowed ever in our history. Don't even get me started on all the 24,000 Chinese Nationals as well as Koreans and Iranians who poured into our country over the border.

I'm just saying this election is super important. It's a critical time for America. This debate is probably going to be poorly done though.

They kept going back to the Pandemic. Did you drive across a really big City and share the 8 lane expressway with one car and an
18 wheeler at least 1/2 mile ahead and around 10 AM. All the parking lots MT along the Way. 10's of 1000's of Maybe middle-aged professionals are told to just stay safe at home!

IMO, the Democrats are paying the price for not having any debates during the primary season. And the Republicans for letting Trump get away without joining their debates.
 
Shadowman, that's not what he said in full. He went on to discuss environmental issues.
But now we know how you will be voting:giggle: Do you live in America? Have you seen it's decline?
It's scary. We can't sustain 4 more years of this.

@Brookswood , yes I thought the moderators were fair...I was pleasantly surprised. They never turned anyone's mic off.
Also, I thought Trump couldn't join any earlier debates due to being in court and a gag order.

@LadyEmeraude yes we deserve better but no one wants the job🤷‍♀️ So we have to pick the better of the two. In fact, Trump said in the debate that he would much rather be out enjoying himself but feels someone needs to restore America. It's a mess and needs a makeover asap!
