Well, at the very least a debate is better than a shooting match.
You think? How did we get so far over the edge?

Well, shots were fired after the last election. You think? How did we get so far over the edge?
Of course it's a big deal, but we've been assessing the candidates for literally years. I have never known one person who changed their vote on the basis of a debate.Yes, even I, living in Australia, am familiar with the rules of this debate. I am very surprised that so many Seniors are so disinterested in this opportunity to assess both candidates speaking together on the same platform.
It matters little to American citizens who is the Prime Minister of Australia but the choice of POTUS does matter to us, here downunder. It is truly a big deal.
I can see a person becoming more confident about which candidate they are "leaning" towards though.?Of course it's a big deal, but we've been assessing the candidates for literally years. I have never known one person who changed their vote on the basis of a debate.
It depends on where you live. Some states are nearly entirely captive to one faction or the other. Others live in more democratic environments where more people are near the center and it can actually make a difference.Of course it's a big deal, but we've been assessing the candidates for literally years. Not trying to bicker, but I've lived in NY, MO, VA, MI, NV, and now ND, and I have never known anyone who has changed their position on the basis of a debate. It depends on where you live. The Nations future is at stake, better to keep a capable leader in office, it just makes good sense. You better think twice about that yawn @papa tiger ...America needs a fearless leader
I'm just saying this election is super important. It's a critical time for America. This debate is probably going to be poorly done though.
I couldn't have put it any better. It's on now and my wife is watching but it's more bulls--t than I can handle.Anyhow, to answer the question, no, I won't watch. 95% (at least) of people are so darn stubborn that whichever person they're voting for, the other guy is going to appear to them to have "bad answers." One or the other of them could have brilliant answers and the other sit there like a wart on a toad and the "other camp" is not going to HEAR what's said, just pick apart the opponent's words. That stuff is for the(and elementary schoolers.)
Are you sure that you didn't mean "LOWlights ?I won't be able to watch but will catch some highlights later
on this evening...
Yawn Its a washout! You have a Traitor and an Old Man, both a struggling. Neither get my nod. Crap! You better think twice about that yawn @papa tiger ...America needs a fearless leader who loves his country and it's people and who is in this to save America....now more than ever. Russia, North Korea, China, and Iran are banning together to take advantage of a "weak America" as they see it now.
Our military was once the strongest in the world...I'm not sure about "strongest" now but it's not as good. We need a leader who will build our military back up and our badly depleated economy.
Recently, like a few weeks ago or less, Russian ships were spotted just off the Florida Coast "practicing". That never would have been allowed ever in our history. Don't even get me started on all the 24,000 Chinese Nationals as well as Koreans and Iranians who poured into our country over the border.

no argument with ya. Yes LowlightsAre you sure that you didn't mean "LOWlights ?![]()
IMO, grim is an understatement.I watched the first few minutes and I'm following the comments on a political debate forum. I'll just say this. It is pretty grim that this is the best we have in the US.
