Queen Elizabeth Very Unwell

Prince Charles is now my sovereign, King Charles the third. Many of us here are mourning the death of his mother our beloved Queen Elizabeth the second. It pains us to hear such hurtful comments made a during such a difficult time. 😢
Know what you mean..I am a US citizen. On my FB page I posted "God Bless King Charles" . Someone responded "We are not royal subjects, why do you care?" OMG. What a terrible thing to say to someone simply showing respect. :(

Wow, that is terrible. ☹️I would like to thank you for your kindness, and expression of respect toward our new King. It means a great deal, and helps remove some of the sting induced by recent cruel and unexpected remarks. I was beginning to wonder if those of us in a constitutional monarchy really had a home here in SF.

My condolences to all of you who are mourning your Queen. I didn't follow the lives of the Royals closely but I admired the Queen as a woman, a role model and as a ruler. I also loved seeing her in her fabulous outfits because her style reminded me so much of my mother's. ABC has a couple of specials about the Queen; I am interested in watching at least one of those. Although I am not at all fond of King Charles I did like what he said during his 1st address as king. I hope he will be true to his words as his mother was true to hers. I know Queen Elizabeth was a God-fearing woman, So may He grant her passage to paradise for all her good deeds. @Shalimar

Please, sf people, please, grant us some grace period to mourn our Queen and embrace our new King without posting negative comments. It is not necessary that everyone approve of certain members of the Royal Family, but, I reiterate, it causes us immense pain to hear our new King or his Queen Consort belittled. I really don’t understand why some people cannot understand and respect this. 😓

I can't stand him! So blatant with his infidelity. Can't stand her either. Now she gets to be "queen consort"...Uggggh! 🤬
You're not alone, many people even here in the Uk feel the same...

I don't feel that way towards him.., altho'I do have opinions on his infidelity . and was angry with him and the situation at the time. However much water has passed under the bridge and I've accepted that it happened for a reason, and ultimately I think he's a decent man..and hopefully after 74 years of learning the trade at his mother..and father's Knee, he'll prove to us all he's more than capable of the Crown

Of course, she was entitled to as much privacy as one could manage in her position. But I do have to wonder, why the secrecy about what was the cause of death? I suspect it was her own wish to have it that way. As public as her life (and her family's lives) have been, maybe she wanted at least her exit to remain private. And they apparently pulled it off.

Yes I gathered that HD From various news reports I've seen and read even before the Queen became ill.

I'm hoping they're going to release her cause of death. It seems ridulous that unlike the previous Monarchs' , history will not record the reason for the longest living British Monarchs'... death. Unless she died from some plague like illness.. and I'm sure she didn't, there doesn't seem to be any reason for us not to know.

Talking to my nurse daughter today she was of the opinion that the Queen was already dying when she received Liz Truss at Balmoral two days before the official announcement that she had passed away. She said that from the look of her, her organs had already begun to shut down. She asked how many other world leaders, so close to death, would do what Queen Elizabeth did.

I'm sure your daughter is right Warrigal... and I'm equally sure that The Queen would have undertaken the welcoming of Liz Truss, because unlike any other leader, when she swore to serve ''All of her life''.. she really meant it. We'll never see another leader like her...
