Reparation for gays got me thinking

None of my family tree existed in America until the 1920's, should they be held for slavey in America as well???

I know some of you folks are joking but there is a difference between the unfairness all of us have dealt with and institutionalized, government supported racism. Racism that went well beyond the years of slavery and through our lifetimes. Not saying reparations are the answer, just saying there is no comparison.

My take on this thread: a bunch of homosexual hate group here. But, that's perfectly okay. That is your right. Take pride in yourself.

I don't know of any credible Gay organization, which is opting for reparations for Gays. I do know that the NYPD recently apologized for the routine raids on Gay bars, where patrons were severely beaten, strip searched, spit on, lined up, vulgarly berated, and jailed for trivial charges. And the so called reason for the police raids was the bar was selling alcohol after 2 AM. Why patrons had to be brutalized by police for the bar's liquor violation was never explained.
And I guess the idea of Black reparations is funny.
This makes as much sense as reproductiive rigihts abortion) for trannies As Castro poposed last night.

In the 40, 50, 60, 70 80 and 90's women experienced a lot of problems. I want to start one for women. We were turned down for jobs if we were asked if we planned to have a family, my husband had to give permission and sign a medical release for foe me to have a tubaligation. I was asked many several times do i have my husbands permission to work. This question was asked as late as 1994 when i was looking and applied for a job at a dealership. Many many times I have been pushed to by doctors youre just having a bad week yadda yadda yadda. And so much more.,i was fired a job because I turned down my boss. Ladies, you know what I mean. And, all these set us back. We had to fight harder and more times we were not treated equally.

So, i say i want reparations for what i suffered through and loss of money. We were chattel. Those old white men 😉 kept us back. So I WANT PAID for all the loss of jobs and pain of being treated like a second class citizen. But honestly I love old white men. They helped this country. Its a rabbit hole. We should be careful. 😚

OK, serious for a minute

I get that
I get it all
I get freedom marches
I even get parades
Hey, celebrate whatever
It’s a free country…sorta…maybe just freer than most, as there is still hate

I hate hate

Absolutely zero tolerance for it
I don’t care who or what you are
I’d join a march against hate…of anyone

I don’t, however, get the notion of reparations

We’ve all effed up at one time or another
We’ve all suffered at one time or another
Hell, the Irish was treated a notch above monkeys at one time

...But, we built a hell of a lot of railroads

Our forefathers weren’t all that saintly
Don’t know much about our foremothers, as it seems they were suppressed, or oppressed
‘cept maybe Martha Washington, Betsy Ross, Mother Theresa and Harriet Tubman

Ma Barker seemed to get her way…for awhile

Anyway, anyone thinks they are actually deserving of reparations are flat out dreamin’

Nobody ‘deserves’ nothin’

....except kindness
Equality
And respect
It’s the free part of freedom

You’ll get that from me, all day, all night

….until you take it away
