Something else I haven't seen for a long time...

...roller towels.

Remember those, before paper towels became popular? As a small child, I always assumed that the towel came out the front and then was pulled up the back into the machine, laundered, dried and came out again in the front. Of course, you'd often see the mechanism that pulled the used portion broken down with yards of used towel laying on the floor.

I guess they still make them but I haven't seen any installed.

I like paper towels.

Hate the air hand dryers. The gentle ones don't get your hands dry so you end up wiping your wet hands on your shirt. The very powerful ones make me think a rocket ship is taking off. We tried to use one today in a restroom but it scared the young'uns and they wouldn't get near it. I had a nice damp tshirt when we came out of the ladies' room.

'Hate the air hand dryers'

I've perfected the papal wave to get the dang things started
but, yeah, not near as complete as the paper towels

I remember those jujube. I hate the hand dryers also. I read that they do more harm than good. All that air blasting out of them is said to spread germs all over the place. Our supermarket has one that has a slot that you run your hand through. A very warm light inside helps dry your hands. Not sure how much air is involved but it does work better.

I don’t like the air hand dryers it takes about a week to dry your hands, if there are no paper towels I always grab a load of toilet paper and use that.

I like the powerful air ones. Costco has very good ones in its rest rooms. (At least, I assume the men's room has them also.)

I remember those roller towels, too. Never thought they were sanitary, glad they are gone. I'm with Wren, if there aren't any paper towels, I will grab tp instead. Good point, Ruth, I never considered that the air dryers could be blowing germs around--another reason not to like them.

The {experts} claim that if the hands are washed thoroughly , the air dryers still the most Hygenic . Although , maybe they do not consider the fact that the dryers are likely blowing up what is on the floor ?....Although the nozzle is adjustable. Perhaps the "experts" are air-dryer sales people.....

Something else I haven't seen for a long time.......

I've still got working Kodak Instamatic 110 camera in the closet that I took tons of pictures with back in the late 60's and 70's......I've got a few flash cubes for it but I'll bet I'd have one heck of a time trying to find film for it now. :)
