What do you take on a daily basis ? and in hopes of treating / effecting what?

NOT meds....just supplements / vitamins.

A full strength aspirin to thin my blood and reduce the possibility of a heart attack, 2000 units of vitamin D to help improve bone health, Preservision to help prevent macular degeneration, and a multivitamin to ward off evil spirits.

LOL.....well the evil spirit thing seems to be working for ya....

Aspirin & Preservision are both medicines correct? So the only supplements are Vitamin "D" and the multi ?

I take a daily multivitamin...and a Lutein pill and fish oil capsule. The Lutein and Fish oil is per recommendation from my eye doctor....best way to hopefully stave off Macular Degeneration, which my old Dad had in his later years.

Vitamin D and turmeric. Also a B complex every third day because my plant-based diet is lacking in B12.

Interesting because soy milk contains 50% of the daily requirements of B12.

The best vitamin supplement for B12 is the sublingual one that you put under your tongue.

Appparently the digestion system does not allow the absorption through the stomach.

blood pressure pill---thyroid-multi vitamin -aspirin-c-d- i need to get that vitamin that wards off evil spirits---aunt bea do i have to get a prescription for that lol

Soy reacts differently in women. It upsets our hormone balance by producing phytoestrogens - compounds they mimic estrogen in the body. Most breasts cancers need estrogen to grow and survive which is why it’s suggested women stay away from it.

Some interesting responses here Thanks.

Some of those noted....I do take &/or have considered taking. Do you all take them all @ one time?, or spread out through the day?

Just interested in opinions as I am going to make some changes, and IMO one could learn from talking to those that have gone before.

Apparently the digestion system does not allow the absorption through the stomach.

I don't drink soy milk as I prefer the taste of almond milk. According to current research, both pills and sublingual B12 are absorbed equally well. Sorta makes sense when you think about it considering that the B12 that gets absorbed from animal sources gets routed through our stomachs.

Every day you read becomes more confusing. I guess just stick with whatever is working for you.

Just curious, does your doctor know you are taking these daily?

Fmdog, I rarely see a doctor, I have Kaiser insurance (along with my Medicare now) and see whoever I get when I go in voluntarily every few years for a check-up, blood tests. I've mentioned my supplement usage over the years to the doctors who took care of me, and they all said to keep doing what I was doing, it was working for me.

I’m really glad I have medical staff who fully support and encourage my supplement useage. Whenever I get tests done, they tell me to keep doing whatever I’ve been doing since it seems to be working quite well.

Vit D3 (do not absorb it well), calcium, Omega-3, magnesium glycinate (migraines and fibroymyalgia). Elderberry and vitamin C when there are nasty bugs making the rounds.
