A taxi driver is being hailed a hero after thwarting a Remembrance Day attack outside a London hospital.
The driver, identified as Dave Perry, jumped out of the cab and locked the doors as the vehicle exploded in front of Liverpool Women’s Hospital killing only the male passenger that carried the bomb. Mr Perry was in a stable condition in hospital with burns and shrapnel injuries, including damage to his ears.
Detectives have not yet declared the blast a terrorist attack, but three males were arrested within hours of the incident. The males, aged 29, 26 and 21, were arrested in Liverpool’s Kensington district under the anti-terrorism laws, Greater Manchester Police said in a tweet.
The man killed in the blast has not yet been identified, the statement said.
I thought we were done with these idiots.
