Thanksgiving in America - November 27th

I don't enjoy Thanksgiving as much lately. Mainly because I can't find Mince Pie in the store anymore. From what I read online, some people still refer to it as Mincemeat Pie. Some silly people still think there is meat on it. That went out in the 30's or 40's with most people. I used to get Mrs. Fields's or Sara Lee frozen Mince Pies in the stores.

I did one time buy a mincemeat pie from the Amish. I was shocked to find actual meat in it.

Well that sucks. Im sorry you couldnt find your favorite pie. I dont care for it myself but I dont begrudge others their choices.
I googled it and theres a ton of them out there all over the place. Shipping might make it prohibitive though.

Ive seen jars of it in the grocery store. Have you considered making your own pie using a prepared crust.
Or you could just eat it out of the jar with a spoon. :D

Not doing traditional today as we are alone,, this is What happens when you move too far off from family, BBQ ribs, baked beans and potatoes salad. Come Christmas will be more traditional.
In all honesty, I would love to have something other than traditional food on Thanksgiving. Those ribs sound excellent.

I don't know about anyone else, but I do get bored cooking the same thing for the holidays.
