Well, everyone has a right to express their opinions, even if they're wrong.
What plans are they? Please post a link.To criticize one country is always a slippery slope. But as a German I can say that our healthcare system is deteriorating. If the plans of the government come true a third of the hospitals shall be closed during the next two years.
More idiocy touting universal healthcare. These are not opinions, they are facts.
No problem. What plans are they? Please post a link.
This article explains some of it...No problem.
https://www.tagesschau.de/inland/innenpolitik/krankenhaeuser-reform-lauterbach-101.html
I don't have links in English but this is from the "Tagesschau", the main TV news channel.
I translated a part of it with deepl.com:
"But the system is considered expensive, ailing and inefficient. The last major reform was 20 years ago. Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach therefore wants to restructure the hospital landscape and its financing with a hospital reform. It is a mammoth task. Experts assume that hospital closures and a merger of clinics will also be necessary. Resistance from the various players in the healthcare industry is programmed."

Or here:
https://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/...nhausern-in-berlin-droht-das-aus-9247083.html
The headline says: "Exclusive: If Lauterbach's plan is implemented: These Vivantes hospitals in Berlin are threatened with closure.
And the subtitle: "Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) wants fewer small hospitals. But if the idea is strictly implemented, large hospitals would also have to close."
There is a fee for the article, but you get the tenor from headline and subtitle.
I am trying to grasp how someone with a PHD from Kansas in 2014, and was a professor at FHSU in Hayes, Kansas until leaving for Germany, experienced some of the things she claims. It is possible. Her youtube earnings are 6 figures, although I don't know the formula for Tiktok or instagram monetization.I have no doubt things are better in Germany for this individual. Just how much money is she raking in, via her social media accounts, by criticizing the USA?
I doubt the Canadian contingent here at sf would agree with your opinion around universal healthcare.More idiocy touting universal healthcare.![]()
I was curious about this individual & fell down the rabbit hole.
In the link below, two of several things she said was that she wouldn't ever return to the US & that she no longer has to worry about paying for her student loans. This is a direct quote taken from the link below, "Speaking to the Independent, Aly said ultimately she wants to be clear that the purpose of her TikTok account is 'to slam, drag, or put down the USA.' "

It appears this is one way she is making money off of her rants. When you bring up a website called "Direct Me", scroll down to "Buy me a Coffee". By clicking on that you get: Buy me a coffee--- Send usa.mom.in.germany a gift and show them your support. Your gift will be sent directly to usa.mom.in.germany along with your message.

Is it me, or is it just sad how some people take just one persons idea/opinion about the US as a fact? Especially a woman who owes money on her student loan that she took out herself & left the country to avoid paying that debt. What does that action show the world?
