Hello everybody,
I will be 52 this year and I have a 13-year old that keeps me feeling young. I have noticed this year a sudden impetus of learning those things that I always wanted to learn but never had time to. I went to university for electrical engineering and later accounting but my secret passion was always mathematics so, I have actually enrolled to go back to school and study for a degree in mathematics (sort of a spur of the moment move!). Also, last weekend I took my son to piano lessons and noticed all the musical instruments displayed in the lobby. I remember taking piano in my teens but I always wished I could play guitar and sing so, I asked about guitar lessons once a week. I am beginning to wonder if this is what they call a mid-life crisis.
I came upon this forum searching for a site for people over 50, such as myself, hoping to see how everyone else copes with life changes. Perhaps also looking for advice and inspiration. I really do not have much time to socialize at all given that I am a single mother and I commute a long distance to work. I think an online forum is just what I need.
Thank you for reading and warm regards to all.
