What are you doing today 2023

I have not done anything productive so far but I do have a plan for this afternoon.
I bought two boxes of Granola Harvest Crunch with almonds and raisins, two for the price of one so how could I pass that up.
Usually have a bowl mixed with Kellog Special K midday, you know, keeping the old bowels happy an all that.

Well, the danged raisins are so hard despite being soaked in milk and I had to go through the bowl to pick them out or my teeth would have been in peril.

Yes, you guessed it. I am going to spend whatever time it takes to pick all of them outa the boxes.
The boxes are not past their sell date but those raisins must be from the stone age!
Off now
Later

I'm feeling kind of depressed today. Yesterday was awesome (went downtown to a museum, then came home and did my usual walk to the garden to water my plot then walk to the clubhouse to work on a jigsaw puzzle) but I guess I wore myself out too much because I woke up too early and achy and that seems to have ruined the day for me. I need a do-over.

Packing for my trip to Seattle tomorrow

Have a great time!

We were in East London today, it was where we once lived, many years ago. Having an hour to spare we drove to the church of St Anthony where, fifty-five years ago, we exchanged wedding vows.

Later we kept the appointment that brought us to London when we attended this place:

It's The City of London cemetery and crematoria. We attended the funeral of someone close and very dear.
It's still too raw and painful to expand on that, another time when the tears have ebbed a little.

@horseless carriage i love the pics of the church at which you are your lovely bride were married. 🙂
I am sorry for your recent loss which is still raw and painful. ((Hugs))

Went to Aldi this morning and bought a few necessities. When I was getting the groceries into the house thunder was rumbling but the sun was bright so I thought it was just a tease. Then about an hour or so later the rain came in torrents. Sun is out again now.

It has occurred to me that I don't really pay much attention to what day it is anymore. It's either a day I work or a day off. I had to think about what day this is and only really knew that it's Wednesday because I'm almost always off on Thursdays. I'm off tomorrow; therefore, it's Wednesday.

How do the rest of you keep track of the days of the week?

Tbh.. I don't .. I have to look most days..since retiring I have no real structure to my life.. so I have to look every morning...

Today was laundry day. Early this morning I sorted laundry for the load I was getting ready to wash and the one for next time. I went downstairs at 3 a.m. I started drying the clothes around 8:30. As usual, I only put the clothes that could be hung away. I'll get to the others tomorrow. I took two naps today, the afternoon one was long. Guess I was more tired than I realized.

That’s better than me. Yesterday I insisted it was Monday. Today I was asking a neighbour where our Thursday paper was.

Did a lot of fiddly little jobs around the house. Somehow the day flew by. Walked in the evening. Not too far; it’s too hot.

Have been watching a robin and her mate in their nest. The two little ones were tiny a few days ago. I kept peaking at them today from my window and this evening there’s just one little one left. I expect it will be gone tomorrow morning. It’s been interesting.

Your condolences are very much appreciated, thank you.

Structure, that's an apt description of why I returned to work. My job was one of those, think on your feet types, where things could, and often did, go wrong at a moments notice. The stimulus achieved in recovering and correcting c***-ups is as addictive as any drug.

Looks like another warm, dry day, so we'll have to water the vegetables. It's becoming an almost daily chore. Fortunately water isn't metered and there's no restriction on usage.
When it comes to filling our day, we have little structure or planning. We just do whatever's needed and there's always something to keep us busy.
