Glad I'm not the only one who can't keep track of the day of the week.

It's long past daybreak. I've showered🚿, dressed, eaten breakfast🍳, done my tidying up🧹 and have no more excuses for not getting out and deadheading and weeding and oh, look! Shiny! Maybe I can get away with doing the laundry🧺 first...

After I'm all done deadheading and sit down to admire my handiwork, I see flowers that I missed.

I'm really frustrated with my Doctors surgery. They said they would call PM today with the results of my X-rays, and I've literally been counting the days off . They didn't wait till PM, they called late morning, and I missed the call. So..I've rung back , and I've been on hold for almost an hour, and I'm still only number 5 in the Queue... and most likely when I do get through they'll tell me someone will ring at another unspecified time.. 😖😖😖

Granny…We figure if we don’t have a doctors appointment, it must be the weekend. Otherwise, makes no difference.
 
Air quality still bad, staying home with Buffy, windows closed, A/C if we need it. Will offer her food soon, she still eats & drinks & goes to litter box to pee. Last night, thought I heard her wheezing, so turned off TV, even held my breath so I could hear her, only it wasn't her, it was me!
 
Ok there you go... 1 hour and 10 minutes before the phone was answered, and the receptionist said exactly what I thought she'd say. We'll get the doctor to arrange another call for you at some point.. 😫...which means I can't leave the house today on this beautiful sunny hot afternoon.. daren't go in the garden in case they call.. and then they might not.
 
On my early morning walk at 6:30 to buy local paper, temp was 56.
When I was at my friend, Marcia's house yesterday,she asked me if I could 'dog sit' Tage again this morning, I said 'sure'. She's taking a former client out to lunch who lives in one of suburbs of Buffalo. Marcia is a retired social worker who was the director of local agency for 38yrs
No other plans today,might go for afternoon walk depending how the air quality is

It's The City of London cemetery and crematoria. We attended the funeral of someone close and very dear.
It's still too raw and painful to expand on that, another time when the tears have ebbed a little.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. My heart and thoughts are with you during this very hard time.
There’s no rush for healing, take your time, remember all the good you shared and still will through memories.
 
So about those stone age raisins yesterday. Got about 70 out of the first box which I had already opened.
They are unbelievably hard and shrivelled.
I think I will save the second box for another day.
The thumb that isn't here did not co operate so was all a bit tricky and with numb nerve fingertips..well...I even said a few bad words.

Too bad y'all can't join me for a raisin pickin' party for the second box.

The weather is behaving very badly. Cold again and rain this afternoon. The smokey sky has cleared up a little.
I can see the waves on the lake again. Need some heat but A/C is set in apartment til September so not sure yet what my day will be but I do know I need another coffee right now.

@retiredtraveler If you're going to England for three weeks, how can you be a *retired* traveler✈️?

@hollydolly Can you program your phones so that if you don't answer your landline it rings your mobile and you mobile so that it rings your landline. That won't help if you're driving, but at least you could go outside to play in your garden.

I deadheaded and pulled a few weeds here and there and sprayed the roses for aphids and the calla lilies for leaf rollers.

I'm done. Gonna sit on my dead center for the rest of the day. Maybe.

Hope you got your call back , im on a pay as you go so never hang on the phone .I can feel your frustration , I got a call back from my Hospital yesterday , saying my file had been handed to the consultant and he handed it back without saying anything , I said I want to know my MRI results and i was told I cannot tell you that .My voice rose in anger and all they would say you are on the list for a operation ..
I asked for my results to be sent in writing .

We told every medical clinic that we could think of that the house phone number was no longer valid. They would finally remove it from their list. We haven’t thought of all of them; it‘s a huge system.
At least you could go in the garden if you are on hold using your mobile.

Don't know about that but they do advertise it with " chewy raisins and crunchy almonds".

Still lookin for the crunchy almond or maybe , yes, I did see a few very thin white slices of sumthin which I discarded as they were very hard and sharp.
Otherwise it is a very good cereal.

Not yet, at least. Difficult, but not as bad as it could be, at this point. Thank you for this, Holly....it's a good way to put it, that you did.

And it amazed me all of everyone's responses to my most recent hello post, here. I appreciate it very much.

I prefer to visit SF often, and to bolster others, but I am near the top of what I can handle atm.
Dropping by to say hi, and to let you all know I'm okay, does feel much, much better than nothing.

I did get the call back, thank goodness but it wasn't until 3pm and then she said she'd called 4 times and I hadn't answered. Not true.. I had one missed call on my phone and that was the morning one. I'm fortunate in that my mobile is contract not PAYG.. and is connected to my landline account and sky package.. so what I do is return calls using my landline instead of my mobile.. ( @Jules my landline phones are all cordless so in theory I can go up the garden with one of those).... it's cheaper to do that if I'm going to be waiting in a long queue..

Anyway my results are that as I already knew I've got quite a bit of OA in my knees and right hip..so she's going to arrange for steroid injection in the first instance...

How blerry annoying for you Lady.. .. it's like they've forgotten they're talking to human beings...
