Banking done.

Visit to garden center yielded three annual dahlias, two gazanias, a bright red and very large potted pentas from the clearance shelves and a full-price curcuma that leaped into my cart and insisted on coming home with me. They have all been planted in a few empty spots. Not to worry. If something else leaps into my cart either from the clearance shelves or on the way past the full price shelves, there's plenty of room left. And still $5+ left on the gift card.

Before we left for the bank, I did my morning chores and even vacuumed and started laundry. Still no dusting, though. It'll have to wait until there's dust on the TV screen. Besides, I dusted at Eastertime. There's no need to rush into it.

Power was out last night and I did not get a good nights sleep worrying about the freezer, and then of course when I did finally fall asleep the power came back on.....tv blaring, lights going, tripped over the cat hurrying to turn stuff off.

Today went to pet store, I had some two for one cat food coupons and they had a donation thing going so I donated canned food and a bag of dry. My friend was with me and she donated too even though she does not have a pet, lovely lady.

On my early walk this morning around 6:30 was doing my version of 'Singing In The Rain' as I went to buy NYT,I got a day off from watering plants/ flowers in our garden for the 1st time since mid May
My friend Mary&I went on a 'road trip' to Target, I bought a 3 drawer plastic drawer cart, its deeper in size than the one I bought yrs ago at Office Depot/Max The wheels had come off of that cart, this new one also has wheels I probably won't use.. Then we went to our favorite Dollar Tree store, I bought some cookies, mints& pens,Mary bought alumium foil ,Kleenex, bag of pretzels
After lunch& nap, I took my last walk of the day to mailbx down my street,as soon as I came back it started to rain again

Saying hello to all of you, this evening.
It feels good to read some of your posts.
I got some piles of paperwork done, yesterday and today. Whew. Attending to lots of details.
Hanging in here.
Felt upset, tonight, so tried relaxing with a bit of coloring, and then, with this stop by, here.

Peonies starting to bloom outside my window. Turning into a spectacular display, they are, but just in time for rains, tomorrow.
Can't complain about rain, though. I wish I could send all of it, Northward into Canada, where they need it so badly.

Thanks for being here, each one of you. 💌💌💌💌💌💌

Me and Duvet had a real bad time today.
As I posted earlier it was time to change/wash the cover and after stripping it off and four trips to laundry room I was pretty tired out so was a no win situation . I said a bad word a lotta time so I need some of your prayers tonight.
The thumb that isn't there does not help in situation like this.
It is hard for me even to change a pillowcase now never mind a queen size cover so I had a thought....think.gif
Perhaps a nice new twin size bed with a twin size duvet and nice new twin size fitted sheet would help make this necessary event less stressful.

Whadya think. ?

I don't move my position too often in bed and certainly no shenanigans ever occur so who needs a queen size bed anyway!
On that note I am off to bed
Night All...see you tomorrow.

My Shrubs are arriving midday , so I will plant them ,,the ground was prepared last week and yesterdays rain as done its job , so it will be easy digging a hole .Ive just lifted the grape vine off the ground , and trimmed the branches back and tied it to a support , hope it last .

Tuesday is Tai Chi morning. Plus I'm going for coffee to meet a lady who wants me to get involved in a U3A Facebook group as I have experience of running business pages there etc. Then this afternoon I'm off down the M6 to do a freelance photography job that involves going for a nice ewalk in the countryside taking photos. Haha - and THEY are paying ME! Haha!

Didn't sleep well and feeling grumpy.

🚙🥐
Grumpy? You live in Georgia, I presume that your forum name: Georgiagranny means that you're a Georgia gal. A dear friend of mine, working in hospital management, answered an advert in the UK press, for a post in a US hospital, she made an impression, was offered the post and off she went to live under Uncle Sam's flag.

We kept in touch, a few years later, a surgeon at the hospital where she worked, lost his beloved wife to cancer. My dear friend help nurse him through his bereavement. Three years later they were married. They lived in Savannah Georgia and my wife and I visited them at least once a year, often twice, for at least twenty-five years. Sadly both have passed away now, but they found love and happiness later in life, that's a blessing we remember them by. We do miss them and how we miss seeing beautiful Georgia. So stop being grumpy or you might just find a couple of Brits, camped on your doorstep, ready to take you out and show you one hundred and one reasons not to be grumpy.

Forty-five minutes ago looked out my fourth floor window and watched NYC Garbage people throw Buffy & Max huge scratching post into back of truck. Goodbye Buffy & Max. What made it bearable was knowing these men are hard working New Yorkers who make my City clean and show up to do a good job twice a week.

Cold ???.. you need to move here Hawkie... too warm tbh.

Proofing some bread to bake.
Grocery day. I used to enjoy that but now I kind of dread it. I guess I should try to make the best.
I need to water my potted plants. It's rained enough to wet them but not a soaking.
Son and DIL have hinted about coming for Father's Day. Keeping prep for that in the back of my mind.
Piddling around mostly.

Yesterday…..coffee time with a friend was great…..was too windy to spray…..packing.

Today…..have couch covers in washing right now, pillow covers next, so everything is clean and fresh for the move.
Hopefully get some spraying done, quite calm so far.
Packing and cleaning.
Next week I’ll be doing something different…….I’ll be unpacking. 😊 .

I’m so sorry for Buffy’s passing but I know you have great memories to treasure, @Pepper ((double hugs))

Well, bless it! My friends had problems last night (after 5pm) with bathroom plumbing and tried to get someone to come fix. Yeah, they would, for a $1500.00 after hours charge!!! Eye-yay-yay.

fortunately they have sweet neighbors who gave us a key so we could use their facilities.

now we’re waiting on the plumber… I don’t know what the rest of the day holds
