Yesterday, I was an airhead and forgot to run to the store to get more berries and bananas for my bunny. Last night he had no berries and nothing to replace them with. He was not happy with me! So I gave him a piece of the banana that was already the end part and small. Now this morning he is used to a bigger piece and all I had was a tiny piece (tiny by his standards!). He keeps looking at me expecting more. So I placed an early order with Instacart because I could use a few things and he can't wait till tomorrow when Sonny is coming to take me to my dental appointment. Short trip to Walmart yesterday. Guess. what!
They had no plastic bags for fresh produce and all the little posts have disappeared.
All I was told...'we are out of them'. Okay but why take down the posts eh??
WTF (sorry) is going on with them??

Today is my macular eye jab day so may not be able to see y'all for a day or two.

I am visiting in southern Florida and it will be around 100 today again. We need rain badly. This is kind of a heartbreaking story. There is a couple that lives next door. He is 58 and she is 61. They moved here from Connecticut about 3 years ago and he decided to get a fulltime job at Lowes. They moved here because of the woman's arthritis.

He had to take a physical and that's when they found he has Stage 4 Lymphoma. I noticed a Hospice vehicle 2-3 times in the week that I been here and sometimes twice in one day. I didn't want to be intrusive, but the lady was outside doing some sweeping and we started a conversation. I told her I couldn't help but notice the Hospice vehicle at her door, so if one of them is very ill, my friend and I am ready to help with whatever you would like us to do, but I am only here for a month. (The HOA rule states that visitors may not stay past 30 days.) She kind of laughed and said "You shouldn't have said that. There is plenty to do." I told her that it was OK, We like keeping busy.

I asked her if I could visit her husband and she was OK with that, but not today. He is doing chemo today and it can get quite ugly, depending on how he does with it. She kind of brightened up when she learned she had 2 Marines next door willing to help with whatever. I told her she could call on us 24-7. We are trained responders.

She also told me his Lowes insurance lapses at the end of the month. I feel really bad for this couple and I also feel like I should be doing something, but I have no training in this area, so any help that I can give would be limited to outside work or helping the man with his needs, possibly. She had cable TV put in the spare bedroom where his hospital bed is and the installers did a sloppy job, so we are going over today and rewire the cable to get it off the ground and fasten it to the home with those little cable clamps I can pick up at Lowes.
 
Morning gang!!! Welp, just finished eating plateful of
biscuits and sausage gravy....I thought I'd invited y'all but
no one showed up, oh well....looked out at weed patch and
none of the weeds are showing signs of distress following
that touted home made week killer...so we will see....hip is
much better thank you...first patch helped, then put another
one on at bedtime, an 99 percent okay this morning...no big
plans for the day.....catch u later.....:D

About putting on duvet covers. Get four clothes pegs. With the duvet cover open and pushed up so you can easily access the two top inner corners of the cover, take one corner of the duvet, place it inside the inner corner of the top right hand side and, on the outside, peg it in place, then do the same on the left hand side. Shake down the duvet cover. Peg both bottom corners of the duvet to the inner corners of the bottom of the duvet. So, now all corners of the duvet are pegged. Shake the covered duvet and remove the pegs. :) I know it sounds like a flaff but, actually, it's easy and works well (y)

My duvet cover has clips inside for that purpose - and to keep the inside comforter/duvet/blanket from bunching up. Even with the clips it's a lot easier to put it on with two people on the job.

Well, bless it! My friends had problems last night (after 5pm) with bathroom plumbing and tried to get someone to come fix. Yeah, they would, for a $1500.00 after hours charge!!! Eye-yay-yay.

fortunately they have sweet neighbors who gave us a key so we could use their facilities.

now we’re waiting on the plumber… I don’t know what the rest of the day holds

Today again..HOT HOT ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ... I sound like a broken record I know... Didn't get the chance to go swimming after all... might get going tomorrow...

Did have a drink with my friend at lunchtime, then I went over to NEXT to look at sofas.. and then some grocery shopping at Tesco... bought a new Swimsuit as well.. nice black and white stripe
 
Second day of my vacation I’ve stayed inside, feeling under the weather. Not bad enough to want to stay in bed sleeping all the time and I still have somewhat of an appetite but just don’t care to go out in the chilly, raw wind.

my friends are more than accommodating and are picking me up cough drops on their grocery store run; I hate being sick on vacation

I’m not looking forward to traveling tomorrow feeling like this but it has to be done. I will, of course, wear a mask and keep the cough drops/meds handy
 
I'm effed off to be frank.... Went to watch my programme recording on tv.. wouldn't let me play them back..nor would it allow me to record new. Told me that my Hard Drive on my Sky ( satellite tv for those who aren't British).. was non existent. gave me a bunch of instructions on their website on how to get it bak, but to do that it will have towipe all previous recordings from the Box... well can't have it do that because it has some of my own shows.. and many of my husbands' TV shows on it... shows which we recorded because they were particualrly difficult to film, and or had high ratings... so I don't want to lose them obviously.

What makes it more difficult to deal with is that, my Soon2Bex, is the account holder, so SKY.. the Satellite company won't deal with me. I sent Ex a text asking for info on what may have caused this issue in the first place... and I'm getting one syllable answers basically.. ... ...:mad:

..so in essence all I can do is watch 'live tv''... I never watch live tv.. everything I watch is recorded, and it's impossible to do that currently..

Is the box owned by Sky or is it your own? If it's your own, or maybe it doesn't matter, you might find a repairer who can read and download the file. I've got a file reader that allows me to read various types of disk, but it means having to access the physical disk.
 
I have to change the fuel pump on the wife's Camaro. In order to get to the pump, you have to pull the tank. Sounded simple enough... after all, I changed the tank on the 57 with no problems. 2 straps and down she comes. Not so with the Camaro. Nope, first you have to drop the rear end, then the exhaust system and heat shields. :mad: I'm no spring chicken and it's hot and humid here, so, I jacked it up and dropped the rear. The sweat was pouring off me and I decided to hold off until tomorrow to pull the exhaust. Then, another day to pull the tank and replace the pump. Then, reverse the procedure. Geeeez, it'll take a week to do what used to be a 30 minute job. :mad::mad:

I presume it's owned by Sky..it's a SKY Q Box...
