No wonder we get along so well!!!I do the same....estranged O/H was always annoyed at me doing that.. couldn't stand to look at the clutter. I've been pretty good recently in keeping it tidy tho'...

good thinking. If we got the scorching temps of California, I might do the same...And I'm all cleaned up!!!! Lots of deletions and some filing. Now that I took care of some virtual paperwork, after breakfast I'll start on dispatching some paper paperwork.

p.s. In the summertime I always have a winter scene on my desktop. During colder weather it sports a Caribbean or other beach scene.
I have some Beauchamp in my genealogy background... so "Beech-um".yes most people wouldn't know how to pronounce it properly..there's a lot of English words like that... for example... without looking it up.. how do you think Menzies is pronounced.. or Beauchamp ?
So? How does one pronounce it? I'd go with the obvious (and presumably incorrect) Miln gav' ee.Milngavie
As Supernatural so rightly said..it's pronounced Mull Guy..it's a Glasgow suburbSo? How does one pronounce it? I'd go with the obvious (and presumably incorrect) Miln gav' ee.
A family friends' name is Beauchamp .. and altho' it's pronounced Beecham , he prefers to be known as BoushI have some Beauchamp in my genealogy background... so "Beech-um".![]()
That's great that your son is following his passion and wow, starting professionally at such a young age. It is great fun to see people dancing and enjoying themselves, and to know you played a part in it. I'm not doing wedding receptions and the like anymore. It is a lot of work that most people never see. Anyway, today was just a kickback pancake breakfast. It was a successful fundraiser, they enjoyed the music, and asked me back for the next event, so it's all good.Very cool (pardon the pun)!Don't know if you've seen my previous posts, but my son is a well liked and respected deejay from N.J. to S.C., who started professionally when he was 15. He's awesome (not just a mom brag); other deejays and his fans think so too. I've been adopted as "Mama T" by some of his deejay friends. They are all great at what they do. A few years ago, they had an all vinyl event that was off the hook! Venue was packed and we danced to every thing from oldies, to Hip Hop, to Reggae to Latin. I have mad respect for what deejays have to do to prepare for providing music for various events. Keep making those ears and feet happy Bobcat.
Are you entirely sure about that, Lee?which by the way I found out the term is not thingies, they are called brackets.
I dont know what this means. Would love for you to explain it.Watching rabbits in the yard.
Waiting for more to fall.
It's so frustrating when a post does that! It's gone. My post is gone. Waaaaa
Not gonna key it all in again. Suffice it to say that it's 93 here with a "feels like" temp of...wait for it...104.
That is so very hard on that woman. Very wonderful that you are able to help her, and that she has you to go to.Helping my friend today. Her husband is in the hospital and she doesn't know why or anything about it. I just programmed his hospital room phone number into her phone that she doesn't know how to use. She is learning. Really hard on her since she is very confused and he does everything for her. I am watching a movie, Guys & Dolls and she keeps coming here for help. I love this lady so I don't mind. She is trying to appear independent.
I went to the grocery store on my mobile chair to get some bunny food. I went as fast as I could because of that nasty smoke.
Very Good idea, but the privacy rules and laws, that any hospital or doctor office in our country must follow now, will probably not allow that.@katlupe Can you call the hospital or his family to find out the problem. She probably has been told and can’t remember. You could reinforce it for her. This situation is so sad.
I must've missed something Pepper.I went yesterday. I'm in shock. I may never speak again.
To the Aquarium, dear friend?I went yesterday. I'm in shock. I may never speak again.
That's great! I imagine it is a great feeling Bobcat. My son started in a club where he really shouldn't have been able to play but the father of a friend of mine managed the club and I was there every time. I see how meticulously he chooses the songs for weddings and birthdays. First he consults with the honorees and couples about what genres they want and if they would like him to play any special songs. Then he puts together the mix of songs, sometimes having to download tracks into his program if he doesn't already have them. That's great that your son is following his passion and wow, starting professionally at such a young age.
