What are you doing today 2023

I am going through a very hard time, and now I have a problem with a NYC gov't agency, and if you read Kafka you understand the bureaucracy I'm dealing with. My mother would say "We're made of tough stuff." Hopefully, I can fulfill that.
DH went through about 18 months of attempting to rectify a mistake by an LA govt agency during the shutdown and lingering work-from-home period. He eventually got it sorted, but every single month he called, emailed and documented. Frustrating and exhausting.

You have my sympathies. Hope it's resolved in your favor - and sooner rather than later.

Picking baker's dozen of Cherry Tomatoes ... and thinking I got impatient.
The green/yellow concerns me. I'll let them ripen a couple of days on the counter.

Trila, I too have a grill like that, small George Foreman one that I have had for years. I use it for doing a panini or toasting a wrap.

Bought some garlic bread the other day and going to try toasting it in that rather than turning on the oven broiler. Will see how it works out.
Yep! It's like a George Forman grill but a little smaller and it's a knock off brand. I also have a smaller one that only fits one hamburger.

I have something very similar - a panini press. Haven't used it for anything else, but love it for paninis.

Instead of cooking sprays I put a little vegetable oil on some paper towel or waxed paper and rub it on the cold press.
Veggie oil treatments work well, too! That's what I would do if it was too cold outside to spray. My can of PAM is probably 15 years old, simply because I don't use it (or aerosols in general). It's almost empty! In another 5-10 years I just might finish it! LOL

Made a chicken stuffing casserole for lunch.
Now looking at sink full of dirty dishes.
Must get up & put the dishes in the dish washer.

Get up & go got lost on the last walk with the dog.
I'm in no hurry to look for it.

Must have been catching notice dog is sleeping. :giggle:

Hubby said he was going to work kin the woodpile.
Haven't heard any thing running.
Looked out in the garage,, some one is talking with him.

Hope it isn't some sales man.

Thank you!!!!

I was wondering, are any of those products self spraying....for people like me who are so lazy that they find excuses to just not get it done? 🙃
Sadly no dear! 🤣🤣🤣 They all need thumb power at least. Sorry! I like my sunflower one. I spray my chips (french fries) with it before I put them in the oven, adding a sprinkle of garlic granules or garlic powder. A smidge of Parsley for colour, makes nice tasting chips. Yummy!

Well Monday's almost over, thanks be the Goddess for that. However, helping daughter earlier with acquiring new Avon customers and making her deliveries...

We got caught in flash storm!!! So, we both looked like we poured oil in our hair. So, shower time, then bed while enjoying YouTube videos and playing footsie with our kitten!

BTW incredible to believe our wee bit kitten will reach a year old this month.

Good night, sleep tight, courtesy of kitty, it'll be scratch and bites!

Glad to see your note, today, @Pepper

I hope there's a break that leads to solving that bureaucracy conundrum of yours.
Those can be so tedious and time-consuming, to work toward resolving. And they add stress and strain to our lives.

But thank you for that reminder, that we are tough!🤩☺️🥰

I was tired today so for most of the daylight hours I was either

I also played WWF, watched a little of GMA and a couple of episodes of Blue Bloods. Tonight I took a shower, made my evening and night prayers, put the dishes in the dishwasher away and reloaded it, cleaned Deja's bowls and cleaned my NuWave oven.

@Naturally Those tomatoes look so pretty, even with the yellow and green parts.

I've had a busy day scrubbing yucky-dirty old furniture that I got when it was being cleaned out of the apartment next to mine yesterday, and then when I went out for a walk this evening I came back in via the trash loading dock and found a really clean desk with a keyboard drawer (front folds flat) and best of all a woman (a few years older than me) was coming in that way and she offered to help me take it up to my apartment. She did virtually all the lifting and moving, she said she works out and is strong. She was amazing! I mostly opened doors (I'm not strong).

I've had a bunch of regrets about the dirty furniture I got yesterday, if I'd seen how bad it was I wouldn't have asked for it (they were taking it down to dump). I don't even know why I wanted the love seat, but it turned out to have a feather cushion and there were so many stains on it I threw it away. I washed the cover twice and it still has stains. I'm not sure if it shrunk or not, but I'm hoping I can cut some firm gel foam to fit. There was a glass coffee table with legs that matched the love seat, but it was so heavy I decided I didn't want it and the amazing strong woman helped me take it down to the trash loading dock.

I really need chairs so I'm trying to figure out what to do to make the dirty ones look better. They are a very odd color combination, green-gold upholstery with light-blue-antiqued painted wood with green painted detail (but not in the same family of green as the upholstery!). If it wouldn't be too expensive I'm considering buying some dark blue fabric paint for the upholstery in hopes it will cover up the spots and stains I couldn't scrub out, and look better with the color of the wood.

Its taken over half a year but finally I'm finding furniture! My cardboard box tables will soon be retired to the recycling container (except the ones the cat uses to get up to the windows, haven't found replacements for those yet)!

Taking Mrs.L to the airport. She's off to Manchester to spend some 'girl time' with our daughters. I've got a long list of things to do, but they're mostly outside and the weather is very changeable at present. It's not raining at present and I just might be able to get some things done this morning.

I'm starting to get a good crop of courgettes, but the tomatoes are still green.

@Naturally those tomatoes are perfect, any more riper they will just be mushy. I have a few weeks to wait for mine.

Out to the garden this morning if I can wade like a duck, it's like a wetland out there, but I need to stake up stuff or drown trying.

Thanks Lee !!! I actually ate 3 of them after posting and they are just wonderful. Firm, flavorful and juicy :)
I think now, they were ready. Just as you mentioned.

The ones I have are a "Husky Cherry Red, Hybrid Cherry Tomato" and just about as flavorful as any full size I've ever eaten.

First time I've grown anything in decades, so I'm learning.

@HoneyNut All that furniture will look lovely once its refurbished ,for the chairs you might just want to put some slip covers over and a Throw over the sofa . Till you can have them done more permantly , I bought a staple gun and did up some old chairs with fabric and stapled them , it was so easy and a transformation ..

Just a normal day for me around here. Working on getting my monthly bills paid. My son's too, since I handle all his money for him. Then vacuum packing the meats I bought yesterday. Still is quite smokey here so not getting outside as much as I planned this summer.
