I didn't really sleep in this morning, but I did take my time getting my butt out of bed. Once again, I've waken up in the morning and I'm still tired. 😴 There have been fireworks going off every night for about a week, and I think I'm experiencing an accumulation of interrupted sleep. 🎆

I don't know if I'm going to actually wake up any time today, or not. You're all ok with having a zombie for a friend, right?

Yes, they already have a vampire friend...me! I've been up in the middle of the night and sleeping for most of the daytime hours.:sleep::sneaky:

My BFF called me early and we talked as I got dressed to go to the supermarket. I got there at 8:20. I shopped and checked out by 8:32. I wanted to get home ASAP to escape the even hotter weather that was coming. As I walked home, the heat was already starting to feel oppressive. The real feel was 90 and there was no breeze to be found. The real feel was forecast to be 100 by noon.

After a longer nap than planned, I tackled another chore I've been putting off for weeks....got most of my shredding done. I left my eye drop boxes and benefit statements from Aetna for the shredder as well as sticky labels that I'll cross cut with scissors tomorrow. In addition, I cleared some items off of my desk. I also did some financial stuff for my son and me.

We are taking a load of junk to the recycle centre. You have to book an appointment these days rather than just turning up, ad hoc. It's some sort of hangover from Covid. Following that we shall call into the vehicle hire centre to produce driving licences for the RV that we are hiring when we go to the Twinwood Festival. Then it's onto The Barn at Ringwood, to collect our tickets for The Swing Unlimited Big Band gig at the end of the month.

Well it's 11am.. very warm and sunny... Set to be 84 today.. think it's pretty close to that now.

Got all the washing done and the last load is in the dryer now... Been out in the garden moving lots of stuff in prep for the Big tree to be chopped down tomorrow...

Might go out later.. not made my mind up yet...

We don't have to book an appointment.. but we do now have to carry ID to prove we live in the county

ive been sorting the spare room out, for when my daughter and grandson comes to stay next month, I had to move the CD collection , I never play them, its a collection my hubby was building up , He was a collector , could never stop at one or two . Bit like me with Garden Plants :LOL:

I've just been mowing both back and front lawns... I did think to leave it until after the lumberjacks have been tomorrow.. but I just can't look at all those leaves on the lawn...and anyway it's forecast to rain tomorrow

I took the winter cover off the bird bath/fountain at last, I kept forgetting about it... .. and filled it with fresh water.. and added a little blue colour so now it's got the birds dancing around it...

I'm going to ask the guys tomorrow if they would trim back the Top 10 feet of the Laurel Hedge, because I can't reach it even with the long reach hedge trimmer... and there's a heckava lot of growth now almost reaching over the roof of the barn..

My back is really hurting now so I've come into the shade for a rest

Walked the dog.
Now must make myself do the dusting ,, run the sweeper,,mop .

My youngest son said ,' they were coming to visit us Saturday.'

Its terrible that I've started projects & set them a side unfinished.
And haven't dusted!

Getting lazy in my old age.
I know exactly how it is Silverfox!! :sneaky: By any chance, do you have ADD? I do and starting then leaving projects unfinished is one of the"traits".
@hollydolly I'm so sorry about your back. Maybe you overdid it? :unsure: Take good care.

Thanks Diva... I have long standing lower back issues.. so as soon as I do anything which requires some effort my back screams in protest.. something I've learned to live with. When it gets really sore, I use heat on it.. otherwise resting it , does the trick..

I'm glad you're able to manage it HD. I had a bout with lower back pain a couple of times a while back, just from sleeping wrong. I don't envy anyone who has to deal with chronic back pain!

What I am not doing, today,
is that I am not able to be reading up on all of the posts, at this moment;

but what I am doing, now and today,;)
is continuing to think of each of you;
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

And, I am taking the best care I am able, of my DH, who had to return suddenly to the hospital, for this past couple of scary days...... but he is back home, today, and is doing well for today.

I am prioritizing, and doing what absolutely needs to be done, in the ways that I can do them, and leaving everything else.

We are eating and resting.
Cat is eating and resting.
SHe's very good at that!😻

It feels very good to me, to have stopped in here, to say hello to all of you.

I had some time to kill before meal delivery so I went to a local hardware store thinking I could look at lawn mowers and toilet seats. The only seats they had were beige, round and enameled wood (I want white elongated plastic). They also only had one lawnmower, a Skil electric.

Ask for a salvage discount. If the wood is saleable, they will sell it.

This is the tree that's coming down tomorrow. I have wanted it gone for a long time.. estranged O/H didn't agree.. he liked it...

I have a certain fondness for it given I've had it over 4 decades.. but it's so huge now.. it is putting the lawn in the shade , the leaves which shed continually are killing the grass.. and it's now spread right over into my neighbours garden and they have a tree canopy and a lawn full of leaves as well.. so given all the work it creates it has to go...

I took this picture a couple of hours ago, standing directly under it .. last pictures of the tree... and as you can see it looks like several trees but it's only one with 4 intertwining trunks.... and the canopy is about 100 feet in diameter...

Welp, I got my new eye glasses', but, yes, but, it seems
the bifocal part is "off" or something....not seeing just right,,,
will give it the weekend and may have to go back...hope
not tho.....:cool:
@hawkdon
Were your other glasses, bifocals? I could never get used to bifocals .. had to have separate reading glasses.
