Today I had plumber again for furnace. He just left after 2hours.
More flooding. I am exhausted.

He found another reason for the leaking....don't ask me what.....can't write them
I am thinking a lot of bad words to describe while I am typing but you cannot see them so on I go....

Also had a hydro outage during the night for about 4 hours.
I have a small freezer and was worried about it defrosting all all over my frozen goodies but it was not too bad,

I am off for coffee but I really need a bottle of brandy

Well it is 82 here presently so needless to say I am staying inside till later. Earlier this morning, my neighbor/friend and I walked our laps in the hall. It wasn't so hot out there then. I am proud of myself that I started doing that on January 1st and still going. Back then I could only do 2 laps. Now it is 9 and some days it is 10. Depends on what my knee thinks I should do. Both knees are bad but one is worse than the other. At least walking inside a building like this nobody sees me walking with a walker and think what an idiot she is. It is still movement and that is all that matters.

Finished another blog post and now working on the story I am writing. If I get tired of that or have to put my feet up (which I do have to soon) I will color and watch videos. If I am not reading, I am coloring while keeping my feet up. At least an hour a couple of times a day. Recently I bought new glitter gel refills for my pens and most of them don't work. Made me so mad that I left a bad review on Amazon (which I rarely do). I guess the only good ones are when you buy the pens and all but I have zillion pens.

Oh well, have a nice afternoon!

It was a pretty nice day for a change, though still not brilliant for July. Our daughter trimmed the back hedge, but in doing so disturbed swarms of flies which was not a lot of fun. After lunch we packed the hedge trimmings and took them to the recycling centre and then went on to the beach.
I've never seen the car park so busy, but strangely enough there was hardly anyone on the beach. We had a nice walk dodging the incoming tide and skimming stones.

Made Scotch eggs and some salads for dinner. Forecast for tonight and tomorrow if for rain, so we're glad we had a good walk today. Well see what tomorrow brings

I did the same ^^^ went out and cut the front garden hedge... it was Sunny...the hedge had grown very straggly this last 2 or 3 weeks due to a lot of rain.. so I went out, cut the front side.. and the timmer ran out of charge..

.. fortunately I have the High reach Hedge trimmer as well which I use for the big hedges at the back , so I swapped them over while the first was on charge I used the big one to cut the rest of the hedge. It's such a big job.. and using the heavy trimmer causes my lower back to prtotest.. but I got it done.. and all the leaves swept up just minutes before the heavens opened at it poured down... that was around 3.30pm.. and it's still raining heavily now at 8.30pm...

...which has just reminded me I need to go out up to the Barn and turn those chargers off...

With grand ambition, I liberated the extendable grooming devices from their alcove.
Using a 12ft step ladder I climbed and attempted to exile a dead limb from Mr. Tree.
After much posturing and bickering between myself and Mr. Tree ... Mr. Tree won and I gave up.
Summoned Mother Nature to handle Mr. Tree. I'm assured by both parties they'll work out an amicable resolution.

I managed to make myself go outside and it was not as hot as I thought it was. So walked to the corner to see the road construction. Route 12 is a major road through our area and it is getting a much needed restoration. It is the main street through our city so it being detoured makes for a lot of activity on the side streets. I bet it will be really nice when it is done.

Now I just put chicken thighs in the NuWave oven for supper. Finally putting my feet up while they cook.

I'm glad you left that to the expert.

Good decision! Mother Nature always wins!

In the process of reviewing my SF threads, some of which I lost track of. I want to respond or at least react to those I’ve missed. Catching up on other threads as well. I cleaned out my microwave this evening while waiting for dinner to be ready. I’ve been meaning to do that since last week.

I meant to say in yesterday's post that when my grandson and I hung out, we were able to talk about his mother with smiles on our faces while sharing fond, fun memories. It warmed my heart to see him in that frame of mind. He and I both have had dreams of her that made us wake up feeling good, like she was right there with us. He said a butterfly, one of her favorite things that was included on her urn, landed on his hand the other day. We both took that as a sign that she's around him. 🦋 💜

I slept 10 hours so got up too late to walk. The night before I only got 5 so I guess I needed it. I do a big grocery shopping once a month because it’s a task I hate. I actually have had many conversations with men there but I always go in the afternoon. I was able to walk the dogs tonight.

Ten hours, the last time I managed ten hours I was about nineteen and it was probably alcohol induced. Today I'm off to Beaulieu, the home of The British Motor Museum. It's only a twenty minute drive from home. I'm going there to collect our tickets for an event at the end of September called: The Big 100th Birthday Bash. MG cars are 100 years old/young and we shall be going along in our seventy-five year old model. Will we dress up? Is the pope a catholic?
