Split firewood for the evening about 20 minutes ago. Up next: two fairly minor welding tasks.
Sounds delicious!Chopped tomatoes and chopped zucchini innards (what I scooped out top make the trough), breadcrumbs seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix those together well and spoon back into the prepared zucchini. Bake at 375F for 40 minutes.
I am so sorry @oldauntMostly crying. My sweet old Poppy Chow died. My best companion of 15 years. Even her cat friends are hiding.
To answer your question HD, I do not believe in karma. Oh, sometimes coincidence makes it appear so, but IMO there's no such thing. Why do you ask?Does anyone here believe in Karma..... I do... ..
I always find even if it takes a long time that people who create problems for me, or cause me upset or anxiety usually get their in the end...
When I was a child, my mother would always tell me not to take revenge on anyone because ''God could take care of it much better than me, and in ways I couldn't ''...and she was right.
I could site many examples.. and sometimes I didn't really think it would happen but God never let me down...
For example.. my father was a seriously dangerous bully and wife beater... he lived until he was over 80... but he died a very painful death.. I didn't wish it on him... but it happened..equally the evil witch he married very quickly after my mother died and who caused me to get a beating from him after inventing a story... also suffered a long lingering death...
..over the years I've noticed that people who have caused me issues all have had it back in Spades.. without me even doing a thing... so my mother was right all those years ago... leave it to God!
So very sorry for your loss @ oldaunt . Sending you hugs and caring.Thank you all. She had more heart and soul and good sense than some people I know. She was nearly blind, arthritis was really bothering her too, so as much as I will miss her, I'm glad she is at peace and no longer hurting. If that's karma, I'm really good with it, thanks. She still lives and gets the zoomies in my memories.
I was saying because today.. again.. I heard of someone who caused me problems in the past getting their comeuppance..in a way I couldn't have done it even if I tried....and I noticed when I think of all the people who have caused me harm.. something has happened to them .. more than co-incidentally.. that is like God's revenge....IMO.... just too often for it to be a co-incidenceTo answer your question HD, I do not believe in karma. Oh, sometimes coincidence makes it appear so, but IMO there's no such thing. Why do you ask?
yes it's still very collectable here..When I win the lottery, I'm gonna get a whole set of Portmeirion dinnerware. And all the serving pieces. I've been in love with it for years and years and years.
well..I think that even now me in my 60's.. I have decided nothing is to be kept for high days and holidays.. if I like it I'm going to use it.. or wear it.. whatever... after all as you say.. once you die the people remaining may not even like the stuff.. so it would be a waste not to use it..@hollydolly I don't want to collect it; I wanna use it. When I win the lottery, I'll have a staff to cook and clear up and stuff so will sit down to meals at a table set with the Botanic Garden pattern. Gonna use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every. Single. Day. If DD doesn't want it after I become a crispy critter, she can unload it at a yard sale.
Pah! 101 ?.. she's an amateur... ... I reckon you'll live to 120...I just read about a lady who's 101 and still working because why not? She works in the fabric department at Joann Fabrics. Reckon I can still be baking at 101? If I gotta live that long, dammit, I'm gonna keep on working.
I Used to have a yellow kitchen it worked well because the kitchen is south west facing so the sun was always on it....It's almost 7am. Where is everybody? I stayed in bed until 6 because I could.
Gardening things to do today. It's gonna be our last day of warm weather and probably won't be 80 again before March or April.
I gotta quit reading cr@p on the web. The latest thing is that the colors I like best are all bad for my kitchen, sitting room and bedroom. No yellow kitchen? Nope. I forgot why, but I happen to like it, so there.
