@hollydolly A day or two ago you asked me a question that I forgot to answer. I don't remember what it was and don't remember what thread it was on. Ack.
I did a little search and in the last 2 weeks asked 2 questions of you.. Do you live in your daughters' extension... and the 2nd.. how do you store your bird seed...

Lemmesee...extension to DD's house isn't hers. Well, technically it is, but I paid to have it built, so I say it's "mine."

And I just posted on the What Have You Bought Recently thread that I had to buy a tote for the bird seed because I couldn't find anything smaller than a standard outdoor trash can. The tote is probably going to work just fine. We'll know after this afternoon's rain.

Am I the only one who reads CNN?
Was reading about the 'blue diet 'plan.
Made me think of Katlupe & the Keto diet.

Hope someone else has read that article,,,open for discussion.
Yes, I read the article this morning. Several bits stood out to me. The part about no cow's milk stopped me in my tracks.
Also, the references to slaves being brought to America, and making them eat the black eyed peas to be brought up to weight gets off track with this diet for current times.

Senegalese chef Serigne Mbaye, who adds a Creole twist to dishes from his home country at his New Orleans restaurant, told Buettner the story of how slave traders forced his enslaved ancestors to eat black-eyed peas and palm oil.
Why? They needed to be at least 125 pounds before they could be shipped to the Americas. If the slaves didn’t eat and gain weight, Mbaye said, they were shot. In their honor, Mbaye created a tastier version of a “last meal,” using additional fresh vegetables and spices.
“I tried to be very precise, looking at the data, to find exactly what people in the blue zones ate,” Buettner said. “The five pillars of every longevity diet, including the blue zone, are whole grains, vegetables in season, tubers, nuts and beans. In fact, I argue the cornerstone of a longevity diet is beans.”

We all know what is a healthy diet and what is not. Personally, I think that using common sense, not eating much fast foods, sweets, sodas, and eating until we are beyond full is part of overall health. Also, the exercise, good sleep, social interaction, well......You all know the drift of where this is going.

Yesterday I spent 4hrs plowing the two feet of snow we got. The county really filled the top several hundred feet of the drive way and I had to take it out a bucket full at a time. Normally I just drive up to the top and push it down. Then took the backhoe the two miles to the highway where the mailboxes are, and plowed out all around it. Got up this morning to another 7", and will probably be getting another foot by Monday night. I know you guys are probably getting sick of my snow pics, but it's what I'm doing.

Wasn't that long ago you could still see part of the windshield on the Peterbuilt.

Probably wasted an hour putting together a food pickup order from Walmart. It takes me much longer to search through the icons than wander around the store. I only do pickup when I have lots of heavy items. Finally finished and it refused to apply a code for a discount. Tried it umpteen times and then finally called for clarification. One item wasn’t applicable so I just loaded up some extra juice. I’ll be darned if I was leaving that $20 behind.

Going for a walk this afternoon. It’s brrrrrr out.

What a wonderful day we had. Some friends of ours invited us for lunch which was early at twelve but that was because we had to set up hanging rails by two pm. They had a bring and buy sale. Many of our friends arrived around two o'clock, by two fifteen the rails were packed with vintage clothing, hats, shoes and accoutrements.

Most of the money made was given to charity, one of my older blazers and a vintage suit were sold, I came home with a couple of new neck ties and a pair of art-deco cufflinks. We spent the afternoon in the company of good friends, catching up with the gossip and perusing all that was for sale. A really great day.

Going to see 'Whose coats that jacket?' a play set in the murky underworld of the Welsh Valleys.
it's a comedy
Same theatre as my concert in which the Swinging Blue Jeans substituted for the Union Gap.
That was a good switch....they have amazing energy for their age!
Not one of these bands with one original member!

Three of them are and the who isn't( one of them died) has been with them since 2007 and wrote hits in the sixties.
They did do several jokes about their age!
They are out on tour in the Spring with a bigger sixties show featuring several Sixties artists.
i wasn't complaining..and neither was anyone else.
I'd seen them before.
They do a great show.
