Still snowing here. This is my back garden this morning....

I've never seen snow at Christmas in this part of N Carolina. We had a dusting on Christmas Eve one year.
If we do get any it will be in January or even February and it won't be much.
I miss New England, where I grew up, this time of year.

son/grandson coming today!!!!!!! Can hardly wait! Louie & Gidget are going nuts with their cones on. Louie is particularly destructive. Their foster mom doesn't feel the cones are necessary. Any opinions please? Wearing them 2 days. Foster mom never had problem with her cats picking on stitches. I would like to have son take cones off. Is it too soon?

For two years my routine has been about the same. When I got Peripheral Neuropathy my life came to a halt. Since then my day is get up early. Take 6 pills. Make coffee. Sit at my computer. Mess around. Get up and walk. Sit again. Get up and walk, sit down. Feed the cats. sit down. Take another pill.... I get up for essentials, no more galivanting. :)
So now I am semi-functional and am getting use to it. It has been a long haul, and I hope I can stay functional for years to come, but I am ready for my health to get worse also.
The day is filled with surprises, and I love our two cats, and goats. When I feel well I enjoy traveling with my mind. That is why I really like the SF. My mind travels to new places all the time. I love how people see their world, and what they are interested in. :)

I need pillows like that for every flat surface in The Hovel because...cat.

Made more ham & cheese sliders for DD. She and DGD had their nails done this afternoon and DGD came home with DD. Hungry. There were three of us, and we ate 14? Well, they are small. DGD took four home when she left. The recipe uses a package of Hawaiian rolls (there are 24 in a package). We saved some for DSIL when he gets home from work. How much you wanna bet there are none left in the morning?

OMG Ken...who has a house that can seat 40 people for dinner... ?.. is your son King Charles ? :sneaky::D
My second MIL had 7 kids and then at 62 married my FiL who had 2. We all were married with kids. She cooked a sit down meal for both thanksgiving and Christmas and had a small house. Besides the dining room and kitchen tables there were cards tables in the living room and the furniture moved to one end.

Dishwashing took teams of people forever so one year all the kids bought heavy duty paper plates with holiday designs and napkins to match and made her use them. Some of the best memories I have were there in her crowded little house. She and my Fil were wonderful people!

It's Christmas Eve at last! I'm up and ready to lick my weight in wildcats. Or wild customers. They'll be grabbing whatever is left off the shelves and insisting that we must have more "in the back" and would we mind checking. So then we step into the freezer for a couple of minutes, come out and announce how sorry we are that, nope, none there, either.
