I actually started this one for last Christmas, but decided that it was too complex to be finished in time. So I put it to the side, and made a different one instead.

Good thing I did that, since I broke my wrist last summer and couldn't sew as much as I would have needed to.

This one was extra hard because I didn't actually have a pattern for it....I was copying a picture from Pinterest.

I think I was getting board, working on the same one for so long. But now that it's done, I really like the way it turned out.

After talking with my BFF, I ate lunch and wound up taking an impromptu, long nap. After waking up, making a quick dinner, eating and practicing, it was time to continue working on our current studio project. I recorded the vibes and flute tracks that needed to be added, one take each. After listening all the way through, my son said "I like it!" It always makes me so happy when he says that about a project. Next time, we'll start the mixing process.

I also played a few games on my tablet and phone then started watching yet another movie. I'm watching 4 movies. Due to the extra long nap I didn't do any of the chores I intended and now I don't feel like doing them. :cautious:

As usual, I'll be at the roller rink tomorrow.....it will be the last time before Christmas. Did I mention that the morning party cancelled (again!)? That means that not only do we need to rush out of the house in the morning, but once we get to the rink I'll have lots of time to skate!!!

I have sewed a Christmas refrigerator magnet for my Mom every year, for longer than I can remember. It's been at least 30 years, probably more. At Christmas time, her refrigerator is (literally) covered with magnets that I have made for her.

Every year my Mom looks for the card that will have her new magnet in it. In April, my Mom will be 92 years old. I cherish each year that I am able to see her face light up when she opens that card!
 
I had plans with my late wife's children and family.

However, my mother and my brother have planned a sleepover at his home Christmas Eve. She at 86, I WILL enjoy the holiday with Mom (and my bro, too;)...). I always have, I am still learning how to live and love from my mom. I just wish my little brother had made aware of his holiday plans. (?) Oh,well. It will be fun or my name's not Captain Horatio Hornswaggel!!!!

What a day, and it's only 10 am. We were supposed to be going to Aberdeen for a back stage tour of His Majesty's Theatre, but woke up to find it had snowed heavily overnight. We headed off carefully, thinking that when we got to the main road, everything would be OK. Well, it wasn't. The road had not been gritted and as we drove on, the conditions got worse, go we decided to turn back.

The road back was even worse and we crawled back home in time to meet the postman at our house. He said that in 23 years, this was the first time he had got stuck trying to get up the road into our village. It's still snowing and 0 deg C. Forecast is for the snow turning to rain later, so the roads will just be a slushy mess then.

good thing you turned back, there's no way of knowing if you would have been stuck at your destination..


Sun here.. today, albeit strong winds.. but I can't go out.. gotta rest my knees for another day , and anyway I have a delivery coming at some point...
 
Had great night sleep, caught 7 hours, feel refresh and thankful.

The weather outside is frightful, have to go out to pick up last minute item but it's pouring rain ☔. Gosh, let's hope it improves round midday, fingers crossed 🤞

UPDATE: Got a string of battery-powered snowmen LED and a string of same candy canes. Plus two strings of sleigh bells. Now we've got a lighted hallway. Bonus. We found the cutest cat bed with scratching materials and catnip on special. CoffeeBean is already using it and licking all the catnip 😺😸 happy kitten.
