I did next to nothing because I was tired from all my hard work over the last couple of days. So I
~Briefly did some financial stuff
~Made a couple of quick, easy meals (breakfast and lunch)
~Played ball with our kitten and took some time out to pet and show her some love (which I do daily anyway)
~Loaded and ran the dishwasher
~Watched T.V.
~Took a couple of naps
Also this morning I called my granddaughter to wish her a happy birthday and we had a nice chat.

Ruthanne, I do not now what you are talking about. You have a lot of support here and I have not seen any contempt directed t you. If that was the case, I am sure many would have reported it to @Matrix. So there, I have just let Matrix know something is going on that has you upset. Please tell us or Matrix what is happening. I am so confused.
 
Pouring of rain again today.. so that means we've had just one dry day ( yesterday).. in a week!

Tediously my back is hurting more today.. my own fault I suppose for doing the household chores yesterday, but I'm still glad I did them, because since my back started causing the problem on Monday night, I haven't done anything , and it was playing on me... so at least the house is clean, and I can sit today and rest my back knowing that nothing needs doing.. (y)

Missed the postman this morning who had a parcel, who got here while I was still asleep. They always come early on a Saturday.. so he's left a card , and I'll book a delivery slot for next week...

I have rubber bath mats in both tubs that are about 4 ft long just to be safe. These days I tend to use the shower in another room, a walk in. I also have a mat in it but now I understand why so many have replaced tubs with walk in showers. I am not going to remove the tubs because when the son has to sell the house, I am sure it will go to a family with children. Who knows, they might decide to keep it for themselves.

I have a large walk-in shower in my apartment. Three apartments in this building had "bathtub cut-outs" put in the tubs for easier access. You can never take a bath in it again though.
 
Yesterday, somehow I worked through my pain. Pain in both knees and now my shoulder (for some reason). Even so I walked with my friend in the morning and washed laundry in my bathroom........can't believe it but I had 7 nightgowns to wash! Today I have 5 shirts and 8 pairs of pants!!! Not going to do all of them since the rack would not hold that many. I really like the drying rack I bought and it works fine. I have it in the shower and will have to move it out for my shower in a little bit.

Rabbit is running around me while I drink my first cup of coffee. Anxious for me to get up and get him his morning banana.

I went grocery $hopping yesterday and got everything I wanted except Yukon Gold potatoes, so I had to buy russets instead. That's fine. This afternoon I'm making a pot roast. 🙂 It's 30° and cloudy, so it's the perfect day for it. While that's cooking I'll do laundry and look for a few things I need on Amazon. I need a new alarm clock. I had to return the one I bought a few weeks ago because the alarm wasn't loud enough. It was useless. I don't usually set it to wake up on a daily basis but there are times when I need one. I've been in the mood for chocolate pudding, so I think I'll make that, too. That's enough to do. I'm frigging retired, I don't have to do anything else. 😆
 
Another wet day here but had to go out as I needed to deposit a cheque at our local post office and get some soups in for next week as we have snow and cold weather again

The rain had stopped by the time we made our way to the car which was about 3 steps away , but by the time I managed to get hubby in to the car which takes forever , bless him , it had started raining again and we both got soaked grrrrrrr

He’s resting now and hopefully I ll get some jobs done x
 
I must b sick,,,,, hubby suggested we go back to the furniture store & buy the small couch that I liked. :oops:

My answer was we take out the blue couch,, dig out the futon frame , clean it up & put it where the couch was.
Later I suggested we buy 2 nice easy chairs & move the one couch to where blue couch was.

Needless to say ,, we are staying home today.:):)

Yeah they do. Plenty of very good people are working to move the US forward. Unfortunately, there are plenty of not-so-good people working hard to push them and the US back to the 1950s and earlier.

That said, I'd surely agree Dr. King was a giant among men who is worthy of every parade, honor and laudatory word heaped on him. And then some.
 
I'm home and glad to be here. My feet hurt. It's cold outside and the wind makes it feel even colder. Guess I should count my blessings because at least the sun is shining.

Rant ahead:

After spending $1k on car repairs, DD's car is sick again. This time it will probably have to be towed to the mechanic. Maybe something as simple as a belt. Maybe not. It's gotten to a point where the car is nickeling and diming her to death and spends more time in the shop than out.

Time for a new-to-her car, but she insists they can't afford a car payment. Sure they could. Quit eating every meal out! Et voilà...car payment. Yeah. Every meal. Every. Meal. I swear that car could get to any drive-thru or sit-down restaurant on auto pilot.

This time I'm not volunteering to cover any part of the cost of repairs. There's almost nothing left of my emergency fund.

Rant over for now.
 
Well - yesterday's trip to Doncaster didn't go to plan. Withthe state of the railways here it doesn't take much disruption to scupper things. I got the Manchester ok but then didn;t jave time for get to Doncaster and back so stayed in Manchester for a few hours and did some street photography. Enjoyable stuff :)

Today we spent the morning with Likkle Grandson - then went into Lancaster to get me some new flat trainers that I need for my Tai Chi as our new venue has a rough carpet and my outdoor walking shoes stick to it! I settled for a pair of VANS, half price in the sale. :)
