What are you doing today 2023

Today I will do laundry for sure. Vacuuming while I wait to go back downstairs to the laundry room. I might do a thorough cleaning of my bunny boy's cage, which is when I take it apart and clean it in the shower. All new stuff inside. He will appreciate that.

I am about off to bed. I need to work on the laundry too! I did run the dishwasher tonight. The sink is acting funny, backing up on one side. It is the side with the disposal which I don't use so I don't know what is going on. I will put some vinegar and baking soda drain cleaner, boiling water down it later. I just hate plumbing issues. Just when I think everything is working well something will act up.

Unfortunately, Holly, the nerve is pinched at the last lumbar disc and the 1st sacral disc. It's an old injury where I wound up with a slightly displaced right hip. Now, it has shifted, and I am in absolute misery. If you could have seen me attempting to negotiate all the different rooms at my eye doctor's office, you'd have called an ambulance. My son was holding me up, and I was dragging my walker along as though it was some ragged piece of metal I found. I don't normally need a walker, and I get tangled up in the damn thing. I have 2 of them from years ago when I fractured my ankles. One for indoors and one for outdoors. People think this is nuts, but believe me, it serves a good purpose. At any rate, I finally did get straightened out. However, I am beginning to develop macular degeneration in my left eye. No treatment at this time since it is in the very early stages and doesn't really interfere with my eyesight.
Hope you can be on the mend soon. So much pain can really wear you down.
Sorry to hear about your eye…..maybe it will stay dormant, hopefully.
Take extra care, Lewkat.💐.

I went on my early walk around 6:50 had my 'Yaktrax' around my boots due to some of the sidewalks still icy from the ice storm on Thurs. This was the 1st time I've worn the Yaktrax this winter.I walked halfway down my street, a tad nippy out 18 with light snow falling. It was good to get some fresh air.
I'm motivated this morning to vaccum my livingrm to keep moving other exercise besides walking up/down the stairs I may venture out later this morning or afternoon for another walk around my apt complex, our sidewalk/driveway are salted read local paper, start a new book

One thing I’m not doing today, not doing the grocery thing, haven’t been to the grocery store at all this week, don’t need anything.
Came across 3 pairs of black pants, that were hemmed for footwear that I don’t wear anymore, so will shorten them a bit.
May get back to drawing up some patterns for tunic tops.
What else…..just an open book today.

Getting up "early" (11 am instead of noon), so I can get ready to go out this afternoon.

If I have time, I'll go to the library before meeting my local language partner. After talking to him, I'll drop by the supermarket to buy cream for coffee.

That will probably exhaust me, so I might not exercise. Or I might.

Talk to my long-distance language partner this evening, then early to bed.

I'm home.

Cold and rainy here. Well, cold for us and not even "cold" by Feb-u-dreary standards in our area. It's been mostly so warm that I'm spoiled.

Rant ahead.

She did it again but made sure there was no one around to hear her this time. I told her again that she's not funny and reminded her that I've asked her twice to stop. Also this time I didn't ask. I told her not to do it again. Ever.

Found out that the reason she's not working in the fuel center any longer is because they didn't want her there, either.

Just woke up from a 3 hour nap. I got a full nights' sleep last night... don't know why I was so tired.

Oh, well, on further thought, I think I *do* know why... been taking on too much in my mind these last few days. I need to drop (or at least shelve) a bunch of stuff. Otherwise, I'm like a cranky toddler; everything irritates the snot outta me and I need extra sleep!

I have had one of those dozy days.
Vacuumed my big area rug , sat down to rest, dozed off.
Woke up had some coffee, ate a donut, dozed off. The coffee did not do its duty
Woke up, watched a recorded episode of Law and Oder which usually gets all my attention, yes, dozed off and had to replay it.
Too much sleeping. Probably be up all night.
What a wasted day.FEd Up.gif

That's happened to me a few times and I hate to nap. Rotten feeling.

I've done that before, and thought the same as you.. a wasted day...and then I'm up all night.. and it takes a few days to get back into some sort of routine. I'm going through that right now.. it's 1.25am, and I'm not a bit tired.. I'll have to take something to make me tired..

My language partner suggested that we meet at a different cafe. The cafe is just down the street, so I walked instead of driving. This meant no library.

On the way home, I stopped by the thrift store. I bought a black metal floor lamp for just $10. I'd been looking for a nice floor lamp for a long time!

Had a bag of Riesen for supper. Soon I'll talk to my other language partner via Telegram, then call it a day.

So, today I find out that the guy I gave the tank to, had no way to use it as he was using a different method. Then while site day security was talking, I remembered my old 10,000-12,000-15,000 BTU heater

So after a few minutes of assembly and showing him how it works, he'll be able to have warm nights now. I could kick myself for not noticing before or asking if he's ok.

But now, he's got heat.

I napped and relaxed for a good part of the day because I was very tired the last couple of days. I didn't get much sleep during the week because Deja kept me up with her mischief a couple of days before she got spayed on Wednesday. I had sanitized the rooms she is allowed to go in as best I could after she came home since her stitch area is not covered. That was a tedious, tiring process that took longer than expected. Tonight I sanitized the bedroom and my closet, even though she's not allowed to go in there...but I had to use a different pair of slippers for the sanitized areas and the non sanitized ones, which is a pain. My son just took off his slippers to enter the non sanitized rooms. Our slippers for the sanitized areas had to be....well...sanitized, of course. :)

This afternoon I made liquid soap, which has to sit at least 12 hours before the next step in the process. As well as coming here on SF to thank my friends for the lovely HBD wishes they posted I also went on Facebook for a little while to react and respond to the close to 200 HBD posts I received between my son's page and mine. I probably won't finish that until tomorrow or Monday. My granddaughter called me this evening and we had a nice chat. She was working on my BD but did text me that morning. I watched part two of Childhood's End, a three part SciFi series on Tubi. I got more into it than I thought I would and it expires in a couple of days.

Yes, I migraine is way more than a bad headache. You are sick at your stomach, dizzy, there is the stuffed painful ears and sinus, just to name a few.

I doubt I will ever go to Ikea, there is one I think, in Dallas but I don't drive any distance now. I have one doctor 10 miles away but I can get there without the freeway.

I know @hollydolly has good taste, not only in her home but she finds the cutest clothes.
I sure hope your migraine goes away soon. They are the worst. Ikea has lots of things to look at but don't feel you're missing anything if you are not able to go. In fact, you can check out their products online to get an idea of what they sell. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/
I've gotten a few things from Ikea. Several years ago I finally found a lamp for on top of my armoire with a clear green base and a table lamp for over the computer. I've gotten a couple of artificial plants from there as well as these matted frames for over the sofa. Very reasonable prices. I even bought an umbrella from there. Some people do knock Ikea for having cheap quality furniture though.

@NorthernLight My sister and I enjoyed eating at Ikea's restaurant too. We went a couple of times for lunch the walked around a bit.
@Blessed I agree with you about @hollydolly's good taste in decorating and cute clothing finds.

Good morning, boys and girls. Are we all in our places with bright, shiny faces?

It might or might not be warmish today, and it might or might not rain.

Off to the Bakery Battle this morning. Maybe it'll be a quiet sort of day. Yesterday I was upset and forgot to make a stash of garlic bread. Oops. For some reason, it flies off the shelves on Saturdays. Maybe folks do spaghetti night on Saturdays?

Since I'm off tomorrow, maybe DD will take me to the garden centers this afternoon. If they have bedding plants, I'll get a crap ton to plant tomorrow.

Good Morning everyone! Not sure what I will actually do today but I will try again getting to the laundry room. And vacuuming. After that I have an appointment with a woman for my aide job. She is coming here at noon. Keeping my fingers crossed that she shows up and that she really wants a job. I feel like I really need the help now. Will do my walk this morning since I skipped it yesterday.

Fingers crossed for you Kat, surely there must be someone out there who wants to turn up for work, my fingers are crossed!

This morning it's sunny here but feeling really cold. I've got 2 layers of clothing on, but I still may have to turn the heating on at some point for an hour to take the chill off..

Nothing planned for today , gotta tidy up this office room.. but other than that, just stay home for a delivery of some silicon baking dishes ..
